Post Whats on your Skmind

Cant blame them. 30-45 mins up to PC via I-80 from salt lake and access to the cottonwoods when its not gangbanged vs. dealing with the I-70 shitshow with Berthoud and Vail Pass. I can't talk shit though cuz Im gonna be living near RMNP this summer and that'll probably be cooked at some point with crowds.

Yeah but for almost all of them to dissappear practically over night is crazy, how does that even happen

Nah I get it. I still haven't heard from dudes I skied with as a kid but I hope they're all doing well and prospering in this shitty life.

Aspen is probably the strangest place I've skied. But also definitely has some of the sickest terrain in Colorado. Side hits and natty jumps galore

My knee stopped hurting finally after months and my crippling addiction to sliding rails has returned immediately. Too bad everything around me is closed now

Finally learned all 4 4s out. Unnat back 4 is a bitch but I like doing it more than f4

I've finally been doing things unnat lately. Got unnat bsb2 for the first time recently, and also started doing right 2s. Hated them at first but on sunday they clicked a little and i got right 2p4 which i was stoked on. I should try all 4 4s out next thats a good idea

I might try to go everyday since the clock stops Thursday. We’ll see though.

Here’s my slightly crusty right b4. I should learn right 2 on but I’m scared of it haha. Right 2 p4 is pretty beast.

Unnat bs b2 is a good one to have because the spin out of it comes way easier if you get the swap.

Hell yeah. Landing natural after right 2 makes the pretzel so much easier, 4 came around like second try. I’ve never even done left 2p4 cuz I suck at the pretzel/spin that direction

I was inspired by all the tail snipe 270s at the Aspen slvsh cup and have been doing them a lot. They're actually pretty easy, you should try them!

i have a hard time getting the timing/hip swing right. whats the trick? Is it the angle you ride in with?

I found them to be much easier the closer I came onto the rail. I go close to parallel and use my outer leg to jump sideways a bit rather than coming in with more angle, and let the bonk push the skis around

Had 5 days off work and was hyped for a week of skiing, and going to sugarbush. Overshot a roller by a longshot and hurt my knee pretty bad on the 2nd run today, going to the hospital tomorrow lol

I really don't want to learn how to tele.

It would be a fun party trick, so I'm attempting. There's a steep learning curve and it's hard to look at the rest of the mountain knowing you could be there. I bring an another setup so I can switch over as a reward for practicing.

Where is the best place to learn backflips at winter park during Thursdays storm? Can we build or own jumps?

I build a jump and learned them on Berthoud Pass. I did it on the west side of the top, but a better spot that I did years later was in that little run on the way from the parking lot down to the next switch back. You can clearly see where it is from this video taken from the east parking lot. There will probably already be a jump built like I found here. But you should build or find a smaller one haha. I've also done them off Pano, could be a move if you find the perfect roller and aren't too embarrassed to fail in front of the lift.

Park skier had a “pow” day and left the big sky park for the first time. I would still prefer a park day over this tho

was going to skip work to go skiing but every resort is closed because of either too much snow or they are completely inaccessible from how fucked the roads are lol

Nice tomahawk and sweet 180!

On a cruise for a family reunion and I got yelled at for throwing a cork five into the pool by a lifeguard. My nieces I was babysitting were hyped though.

gnarliest week of skiing I have ever had. Spring Break in CO takes on an entirely different meaning. Shit is insane here, in a bad way.

35 inches at eldora, and over a foot where I’m at. School got called off today and tomorrow, roads are fucked, and my chickens still insist on grazing outside instead of chilling in their lil coop.
