I think you may be overlooking all the fun you can have in old age and the process of dying. The seconds before you die could be the most fun moments of your life.
 
There might be a certain old age when dying in an avalanche is kind of legit, but generally getting killed in an avy is not cool. Best to be avoided

Yeah I’ve taken to skiing sober or very lightly stoned all the time this season. Feeling much more precise than I do under other circumstances.

Anyone got a good headphone recommendation? I like to have one ear in so I can still hear what’s around me, but my current helmet (Smith Code) presses the headphone into my ear in a way that the sound is muted.

Jabra Elite 7 Active and remove all the foam bits from the inside of the ear flaps for comfort.

Also you can buy single buds on ebay for $20 a piece if you lose one.

While waiting in the lift line today a man asked me “are you single?” And I go “uh no sorry I’m not.” Like wtf? Dude is trying to hit on me or something.

Takes me about 3 seconds to realize he’s asking if I’m skiing alone, not my relationship status. So I (stupidly) go “oh wait no yeah I’m a single rider you can ride with me. Sorry I thought you were hitting on me haha”

Homie did NOT get on the lift with me

But in my defense who says “are you single”?! I’m used to people asking if I’m riding alone, if they can ride with me or ask if I’m a “single rider.” Not just “are you single.”

So then I send a Snapchat of me telling the story and wouldn’t you know? Fucking boogie in my nose. Of course that man was not hitting on me ??

Yeah, going to pass on the skiing today. Parking lots are pretty much filled and the bitter cold makes it easy to get some things done around the house, have a hockey game on in the background, and enjoy a slow day. Maybe I’ll take the touring setup for a walk later.

Sick of being burned and not getting parking, I got in line for little cottonwood canyon at 6:30 today. There were only 10 cars already waiting which seems like way too few for a big powder day.

Did i fuck up? Do the wasatch hardos know something that I don't?

Seems like a bad omen for the canyon actually opening this morning
 
skied park at like 5 degrees in MN last night, man it felt easier to do when I was a kid. So hard to want to try tricks lol probably gonna take some time off till it’s at least like 15 degrees
 
Oregon got absolutely dumped on, was skiing waist deep pow yesterday. Then freezing rain last night put an inch of ice over the snow ?. All that good snow absolutely ruined
