I spent a lot of this weekend in the baby park with some friends who are learning and helped many little kids when they fell and lost their skis. Never got a word out of the kids or the instructors, they probably hate seeing someone with baggy pants :(

there is this one instructor at mad river glen with a kewl tall t productions sticker on his helmet, seems out of place but love to see it. homie eyed me out (probably because of my steezy xL saga jacket) and asked me if i could ride up with one of his kids and was super thankful about it. ig im just saying that pleases and thank yous are super important, i hate it when ppl don't have basic manners.

ngl i was super turned off by emmett in the live. he was acting like a little bitch for no reason really. i get that he doesn't like Ankilla, i can even understand why. he is very antagonistic and often doesn't respect other people's boundaries. but i still don't understand the logic of going into the live, acting like how he was in the chat, and expecting anyone to think better of him for it. do not see myself buying vishnu.

I actually like winter parks set up more right now. Rails are more fun and you can get better speed for the jumps I feel. Only problem is you have to choose between Dogpatch jumps or rails, but the Cranmer park makes up for that. I think Prospector is a little faster lapping than Woodward too

I did this accidentally last season too, except it was a front 2 and pole basket on my nose lol. Have tried to replicate it but it’s hard af to get it to stick

don't laugh but the answer is pride express at vail. people completely forget about that lift so there are never lines. when snow is low enough there are a ton of MTB features that you can chain together into a super fun top to bottom line. wish i had pics but there's like a road gap and everything

Emmet was pretty similar to Chris on ns back in the day. He was honestly one of my least favorite members. Any ogs remember this?
 
For the horrific conditions on the east coast, northern VT specifically, the mountains are killing it with the parks. You know Sugarbush is ?, Bolton’s setup is impressive, and Jay’s rebuild is like a mini slope style course. Park crews are killing it
 
I decided today that a Kingpin 13 setup with a 109 directional freeride ski may not be the best choice for groomers, so I might re-mount my Woodsmans with a set of STH 16s

i'd like to try ski patrolling at some point but i kind of don't like the main point about it... like the hurt people. i'd like to help them but also i don't want to see some kid die or something that would make me like skiing less.
 
COP opened a bunch of rails and I finally get to ski them Monday. And looks like the mountains might start getting some snow too
 
hit a backcountry lap before work and now im gonna go check in on things around the resort while rippin some pow. the computer will still be here when i get back.

My kysen hall pants just arrived. Seriously one of the best purchases I've ever made. Very highly recommend since they're incredible quality for the price. They were 140 in the presale but for 168 they're still a steal.

HV needs to give me a rake and a shovel because the park has been so ass. i’ve started taking takes outta snow sports in my coaches jacket after work to give the lips enough shape to fuckin hit the rails. along with cut the tops cause no way every feature should be ride on. esp a down skate rail like tf?

Also a big fan of mine. 5 10 and got XL, one cuff at the bottom and they’re the right amount of baggy with good shape. The waistband is sooooo nice
 
Vail-bullshit aside, It would be pretty fucking cool to patrol at the mtn you grew-up skiing at with all your best friends, no? Maybe one day
 
I haven’t skied much the last 2 seasons so I’m out of the loop.

I have a pass that I can use 9-10 times a year and when I worked at the resort you’d have to get a ticket printed out each time you went. Now it’s just a card that goes in your pocket and they have scanners that just pick it up? Pretty convenient. But also really shitty if someone uses the wrong jacket/pass and you don’t catch it. Since it’s a limited amount of uses and such.

Also, so happy to be skiing again lol

you’re just now experiencing rfid gates for the first time??? vail is now just scanning phones through jackets. no lift tick required. i hear theres some work need to perfect the tech but someday there will be no ticket office and you just buy on your phone and go directly to the lift.

Bruh it’s a just small hill ? only one lift has the gates. All the other it’s like the guns lmao. I have experienced them at big resorts but it’s very weird to see at my hill haha
