Post Whats on your Skmind

Just hyped to be skiing again after coming back from breaking my foot and getting a knee injury. Ripped with all the boys, learned all my tricks back from last year, snow soon and hopefully jumps soon too.

Four ons are really hard

Four ons are so hard for me for whatever reason. Seshed them for like a half hour today and didn’t get one and crashed a bunch. Was close for a bit and then lost it which makes it worse. Second time this season I’ve battled and not come away with a clip. Ugh. If people got tips lmk

at this point I may not be skiing again until mid January. PA winters getting better every year.

Lowest temps in the forecast are 5 nights at 29F barely worth snowmaking at that point plus a bunch of rain.

same deal in ohio. Almost all the hills here are currently closed, and the one that is open has 3 trails with pathetic coverage. Been like 5 years straight of very warm winters here now

MN scraping by. Christmas rain did a number on us but resorts recovered and we have good temps to blow snow for awhile. Hoping January saves this winter

last year we had a total of 17 nights for snowmaking, that counts pre opening. Only 2 nights in January. Thankfully we had a real cold spell in December to kick the season off, the snow from that got us to February. February wasn't much better, very rough season. January is historically bad for us. I wish I could say season were just shifting, but February and March haven't been much better than past few years.

Guess I may have to hit up springs on weekends, don't really feel like driving 2.5 hours when I don't have my ski legs back yet.

Has their been an edit based entirely on one song? Like some long build up doom metal or along that line. I’m sure a TGR style edit has done it but mainly looking for street.

Absolutely the wrong skis for the conditions, but big skis on bad days is (almost) always fun. (Also, first day on these. Love them)

Zahner used an electric wizard song in most gutter and cam Riley also used one (i think in 10 and 2). I figure ur talking about the 10 minute opus type tracks but those are the two I can think of off the top of my head with that kinda metal

The k2 Marksman is hands down the best ski made by k2 in recent history. I don’t think it tops the Hellbent but it’s a second for sure. Fun center mounted in the park and fun all mountain mounded like 4 back from center, extra fun at bush up on castle rock and some of the lift lines and the trees at Stowe. Hoping to take them out west to the interior of BC or Utah this year for a definitive review.

Poacher is definitely their best ski

m83's "intro" would be so good for this

Reckoner aside from durability is really good.

Shredditor 102, durability close to the poacher but as fun as the reckoner. Never tried the marksman, but assuming it was also good. I hope to god they ditch whatever they did on the reckoner to make it so much less durable than any other ski they ever made, stupid people wanting lighter skis.

Been absolutely RIPPING groomers today on my brand new frankenskis at tremblant, ran over a rock cuz they have rocks on OPEN GROOMERS and now i have a core shot.

I cant fucking take this no snow im gonna go ballistic.

Just dropped off a pair of 102s to get mounted, pretty stoked. Gonna try my best to not kill them too soon on rails. Mounted between the lines at -3cm to get some versatility out of them

Mistakenly assumed keystone wouldn’t be so bad today because people “are hungover” and Loveland usually isn’t On January 1. Wow. Ya boy fucked up so bad. The amount of out of control jerries is astonishing. Truly gotta keep my head on a swivel.

I don’t mind if you’re a bad skier. It’s when you’re a bad skier out of control and there’s a lot of you.

Yeah I imagine it’s tough getting enough clips for a solo one song edit, or to get a crew to agree on one song.

I’ll check those out though appreciate it

And almost all of them are out on a college trip with Dad's money

I’ll be there Saturday. Jerry is a state of mind

Dude I had quite a few experiences with tourist with no manners today. Was kinda shocked. Had a lady literally just blatantly cut me in line at the bar at an on-hill lodge. I was like “wtf. Am I missing something?”

New Bergman bowl at keystone is pretty fun terrain. Will be super nice whenever there’s fresh snow, perfect for low angle pow turns

Really wanted to check it out yesterday but ended up staying around Outback lift

Spending my afternoon learning how to facilitate/instruct beginner Nordic skiers, which means I’m learning Nordic for myself as I go.

I'm also like some of you lifties really need to start picking up shovels sometime too because this shit looks like trash.

I have never worked lifts but my neurospicy self would have to messing with the ramp to get through it.
