If you come through I can show you around Sunshine and COP. No advice other than get a super card for Sunshine it will make it slightly cheaper.

I was looking at Sunshine actually. Not sure if I’m think dirtbag trip where I sleep in my truck or just ball out and buy a ski and stay package. If I go ski and stay and just fork over the money, Sunshine’s Ski Weeks thing is pretty appealing. Stay on mountain and ski for five days, private instructor for two hours each day, apres package, and with the exchange rate, it’s what I would pay to go play in Tahoe or SLC for three to four days and going cheap on where I stay and what I eat.

edit: only hyped on the instructor thing so I can rip around with someone who knows the place and skip lines.

What kind of on3ps? My jeffries have pretty bad edge hold on hardpack which can make them hard to turn. Or more accurately, the skis are super easy to turn but i just keep going straight

I don't think any ON3Ps are supposed to be very directional, except maybe for the Wrenegades

yeah also the jeffery. and i was having the edge hold in the hardpack today. skied surprisingly different in the fresh snow. still excited about the ski but god damn i felt like i was gonna wreck myself today. scared the shit out of my

It definitely has some interesting pop out of turns. There's been a few times I'm skiing some steep moguls and get sprung forward after digging the front in too hard. You kinda get a feel for the flex pattern over time, kinda like a clutch on a different car.

Ahh yeah, they really prefer to be skied flat, not on edge

[tag=167225]@partyandBS[/tag] my first couple hours on my Magnus 90 when they were brand new were challenging. They felt like heavy 2×4s until I took them on some black runs and really charged. Then they either loosened up or I figured out how to ski them.

If you do that be warned that staying on hill is a little isolating. You can't really get back into town most evenings. As for the instructors if you're able to request people I have a list of them that would bring you to some lovely places. I know that there are also several NS adjacent people that ski there. If you wanted to stay in town Banff for cheap Hostel International Banff is a great place and they do private rooms for something like 50 cad a night. Banff has a great bus system so you don't need to drive around town or even to the hill.

Also if you have any more questions just PM me, I lived in Banff for 4 months or so.

Some solid advice there. Part of me loves a little bit of an isolated trip but idk, the hostel is a ton cheaper and helps meet buddies for the skiing. In typical American fashion, I would have to get my passport sorted as I haven’t left the states in my adult life and figure out where to cut back in other places to make it happen but Banff has me curious right now as I have never been and the skiing looks awesome.

It's very lovely

i am going to tremblant on the 21st but a opportunity to get some atrocious ontario slush laps in this saturday came up and im hyped

I would have broken a rib at lakeridge if it werent for the slush last weekend allhumdillah.

also do not expect much from tremblant parks but it should be a good time sidehitting.

Apparently WP has "The most snow in Colorado" so far this season and its all stubby pine trees and hella rocks. But then im like oh yeah, its the resort game.

Like I know its only december but I did enjoy riding-up super gauge and smelling weed smoke all over.

leaving school early today to take my little sister skiing. super stoked cause she just got new Lange RS and she could use them. She was folding the lange kids rs. Can’t imagine how hard it was to find a 22.5 boot

Calling Colorado nsers I will be there from like the 23rd to the 2nd so lets shred Ikon mountains and hit some urban if it snows

i get free tix to almost everything in CO thats not a VR so hmu, also feel free to stop by Granby as well, ill hook you up

Man, I hope I can get a passport straightened out in time. Banff trip seems really possible to do reasonably cheap. Hostels are available and the Sunshine Super Card thing gets my per day skiing to like $85 CAD and day which is way cheaper than a destination trip in the states is.

Passport turnaround time is super fast now, apparently

Kind-of makes me salty that some patrollers really dont like to slide tubes from time to time. Sometimes its even worse, like dudes straight-up hate park laps

ski patrol is literally not allowed to hit features while on the clock at my Ohio hill lmao

Skied for 45 minutes today I was exhausted after work but still needed to do something physical to get the demons out.

Only did surface swaps and lip slides

How you liking CO. I’m thinking of the move but also on the fence.

Yeah dog agreed. Do resorts owe money back to people who purchased season passes if they barely open?

not typically. They will pull the on a good year we don't make you pay more for having a longer season.

My goggle lenses are all scratched and hazy and I cant see shit. I've been skiing in sunglasses because I dont want to buy new lenses (which arn't even expensive but I'm just stubborn). Has anyone ever found a fix for this? I have headlight cleaner I was thinking of trying... toothpaste too maybe?

yk i was gonna explain it but i just sounded special. it's just a weird 360. the axis is normal but the set is weird. ooh ig you could add cork to it as well to make it even more confusing.
