get out at 12:00 thursday, ripping it to the hill to get park laps in from 1-4 then driving home for a doctor appt/training. should be a good day tbh.

2 1/2 hours today ?

Honestly it was fun though. They opened up Nix Nox and allowed directed skiing with patrol. It was nice

Put in maps to loveland

2 hours compared to one

Skipped today, just heard accidents and stuck vehicles all day

Dude I was tryna get out of eldora today and some braindead ass woman drove herself onto the frozen lake and held up traffic for a fucking hour. They had to get a winch to get her silly 2000’s Toyota rav4 off the lake. She didn’t even have winter tires on while it was legit whiteout.

That sounds very typical lol

every year i say im gonna learn to ride park, and every year i take one bad fall on a rail and give up. pls help

Bro you're gonna take a million bad falls on rails if you get into park, it's just a fact. You'll soon learn how to avoid falling in a painful way most of the time. Everyone has painful falls from noobs to seasoned pros. What you gotta do is take the frustration or fear or anger from falling and channel that energy into hiking back up until you get that dang trick. You might be super sore but that won't last nearly as long as your newfound addiction

Holy shit that’s always my worst fear leaving Eldora since that road is like 6 inches from a drop off into the lake with no guard rail

Traffic on I-70 was so bad to keystone that the wife and I said fuck it and bought our Loveland passes early. We were going to buy in January.

I-70 drivers are making me not like powder days. It all goes to shit when it snows lol

Pretty glad I don’t have to deal with i70 anymore. Nothing like going 95 in the left lane and still having a chode in a lifted pickup on your ass still

I honestly get why casual skiers living in denver don’t like to go up often. It’s a shit show. CDOT needs to actually enforce. So much of this shit is preventable

Anyone watch skiermans video? Looks like it got removed. Probably for calling a colorful video like Gus me worthy and appearing to hang himself during a normal edit

Heard lift 6 is opening up this week too, really opening up now

Missing the ride up to bridger big time, under 30 min 99% of the time. It’s really a race track on 70

Yeah 6 and then ptarmigan shortly after

Anybody know some good urban spots in Vancouver B.C?

You’re lucky if you get even a few days with snow on the ground. That said check out ubc campus there are lots of rails including some pretty heavy ones

if you're looking to have fun rather than film, delbrook is where that long rail with the wooden stairs is. Very played out spot but it's fun just to slide it to the end, pretty low risk. Cousteau (french school) has a small triple kink and some other rails. higher elevation too. Most schools I've been to have something worth hitting.

I love seeing the Brighton kids seethe

ngl i'd be pretty pissed if I bought a 1200-1600 dollar pass that gives free parking with it just for there to be no free parking available until like the end of January.

Work orientation and training has been fun so far but a lot of the higher-ups at work really aren't down with the colorado ski bum vibes i.e stoners and whatnot haha, but I met some really awesome locals today skiing at WP and people are genuinely stoked to know people are moving to work for their ski hills.

I know people hate the smell of weed smoke but nothing to me feels more at home than booting-up in the lot and it reeks everywhere lol

Good. The resorts have gotten greedy by forcing the burden to be placed on the taxpayer in the form of UTA buses and parking lots. About damn time they feel the pressure to build parking structures like the resorts in Colorado do. Love to see them squirm from the results of their shortsighted poor decisions.

Unfortunately I don’t see things getting better for quite a while though. The cottonwoods are blown out folks, seek new swells ?

Yeah there were one or two years while I was living there that snow stuck for a week or so. Just telling him not to expect many days that urban will be hittable lol

Maybe it’s me but I have never seen this anywhere out west. Most of the time it’s out of staters I encounter, the ones epic and ikon cater to.

I did meet a cool group of dudes from Austria one day, they were pretty with it on how skiing works.

I want to say I was wrong, skied keystone today and saw first hand how many Chinese people are out skiing

I hate him as well, I watched a bit of his loveland opening day to see how it looked.

He bitched about not getting a free media pass because he’s a “vlogger”. Dude thinks doing some dumbass video makes him special, I imagine he’s making that day pass back easily as well.

I wonder how long these take to edit.

same. and how much skiing he's actually doing, can't be a lot. and how stupid his dumb ass looks sticking a gopro in the snow to fill him putting on his skis.
