i love mcmaster car but good lord is it inconvenient paying the $10 shipping for very few parts that i cannot find elsewhere. if you happen to know anywhere that may supply these u cup seals or have an idea for a more generic approach it would be greatly appreciated. past design used traditional O rings but had way too much friction or had a very poor seal

Their website might be the best designed website ever. MSC and Grainger both suck in comparison. Worth the extra couple bucks McMaster usually charges.

My male aggressive dog who cannot be let outside of the fence if a guy other than his dad is at home bit my homie

My sister has a pitbull that has bit 5 fucking people, including my father and her boyfriend. Where is the line in the sand, I always ask her, will it have to kill somebody?

Kit is muzzle trained for everyone and his safety, and we ask everyone to please text when they get here so he can be put behind the fence to prevent situations like this from happening. He’s a McNab & heeler, they‘re Harding dogs with string protective instincts, and we’ve worked hard on bite control but sometimes if he’s taken by surprise by a guy walking up to the house unannounced he’s protective and bites. My neighbor is a dog trainer and we’ve been working with him since kit nipped my dads finger this year.

My work keeps all 3 of those companies in business I swear. We order So Much Stuff from them. Also Productivity....

pen V2 is a badass pen but boy do i wish i could figure out away to show off the internals on the final pen. because it is hard to explain that it fills up with ink by pushing a piston down

"People who refer to their dog as their child" is on my ick list. Though I do like the idea that that two people are ugly enough that their offspring would literally be a dog.

Is there already a "what movie are you watching" thread

even if there was, might as well make a new one cause its not gonna bump otherwise. i saw a go-to movie thread that had 136 up votes from 2015 but not a what are you currently watching. if you make one, make it what are you watching so it includes shows and movies

boutta crash out and move to philly to coach highschool rowing instead of going to college at this point, and work as a fuckin intern somewhere. Legit cannot comprehend my parents paying 35k a year for me to go to school. Even if I pull that money out and it gets taxed putting it into an index fund or IRA i’d be able to retire at like 40. Not to mention pull some money for things like down payments or deposits etc. Having the ability to row D1 this fall at a liberal arts school is sick and so is taking a gap year to row D1 Ivy League lightweight, but I genuinely cannot fathom spending that much of my parents money even if they have saved it. I mean even a state school is 24k a year with room and board and I still think that’s insane esp for the quality of education.

Ivy's are a scam, most jobs don't care if your undergrad came from a state school.

i dont think your considering it fully. you think your dad wants to show up the country club saying his son didn’t go to college and is a high school coach?! fuuuck no. he wants to boast that his son is a D1 athlete and he’s got the stacks to fund it.

sometimes its like you dont even care about your parents ego…

Lol. Your parents are paying for your entire college and you're complaining about it? Try graduating with 65K in loans and paying them all off in 5 years. why don't you man up and ask to pay the second two years of school if your parents pay the first two? Like your ideas equate to your driving record TBH.

Kinda disagree with this bro. I'm not saying it SHOULD, but the name of your school does matter to a lot of top employers. While I don't think the education itself is any better, the networking and connections and being "in the Ivy club" is going to open more doors.

24k with room and board is an absolute steal. That's gotta be heavily subsidized by taxes. Even 35k just for tuition at a private school is super cheap these days.

Go to college. Get a useful degree. Don't devote your whole life to rowing a boat.

Saving $100-150k and working for the next 4 years will make you more money in the short term. But your lifetime earnings won't be anywhere close to what you'd get with a useful college degree.

I think ivy's for graduate degrees make more sense but I feel as if there are diminishing returns for undergrad
