i am 20 today. weird.

had a bad day at work and have no friends to hang out with today. its 38 degrees in the sun right now. cant decide if i should go out for a bike ride or go for a little hike by myself but i feel like i should do something.

i have resolved that next year i am going to find some ppl to hang out with and go skiing in july

Happy Birthday! Cheers to another great year! I try to ski every July and it will be worth it for sure. On the 5th I was riding up the chair with a guy and it turned out it was his birthday. Both the 4th and 5th I drove to the mountain solo and ended the day with a fat crew of new and old friends from all over

I wanna start a business doing some kind of manual labor like cutting trees or some shit, I feel like I don’t do anything of value at my current job in the office

Private sector, my company had a project manager leave and my boss took 2 of his employees and a shit ton of his projects. The projects are super fucked and we had 3 people quit so now we're just super over capacity and it fuckin sucks

Job hunting currently, tryna go to the public side

I left my back gate fully open yesterday for 15 mins at a super market there are routinely shootings at in the hood and came back to nothing stolen phone was ok. You should be fine.

Nah once you get specialized in an industry, they search you by keywords and title through something called LinkedIn recruiter. Even better if there’s like a specialized website linked to your LinkedIn. I am getting blown up nowadays and it’s because my dice (tech recruiting website) is connected to my LinkedIn. Never realized until a recruiter told me.

Is it possibe to do a completely selfless act in everyday life? I feel like there is usually something more behind it than wanting to just help or something.

This is dumb as fuck and why the fuck it was something that popped up in to my mind straight after waking up.

I got a box of cereal off the top shelf for an old lady at the grocery store the other. I guess I got not being an asshole in return though so if that counts then the answer to your question is no its not possible.

That was probably what I was going after, but is it conscious decision where you decide that you are going to act like you are expected to act and not be an asshole.

I don't personally know because I'm usually the asshole if someones health is not in danger or If it's a situation I can "escape" directly and I'm not with people I see daily :D.

at no point did I think "if I don't help her I am an asshole". She asked, I reacted, she said thanks, I said no problem and that was it.

I signed with for a triathlon with some of my buddies a few months ago and it’s tomorrow. None of us did more than three runs and bike rides to train. My gear is basketball shoes, hard tail mountain bike, and speedo from my high school sports days, and a Hawaiian shirt of course. End goal is to not get last in the friend group and to clown on as many people that have fancy equipment as possible.

you should put the narrowest road tires you can on that mountain bike, would be funny and make your life easier.
