saw some random black guy with no ski gear taking a selfie today at the top of the gondi. took 30 seconds out of my day to offer to take some pics of him and he was so hyped.

did the same for a group of 4 dude at the base. got a couple different angles in there. i snuck a selfie in first of course.

both were out of uniform and didnt tell them who i was and didn’t ask for a tip or anything. just sharing the love for the place i am with others

what got you smilin today?! did you lace a new trick? did she finally let you pee in her butt??
 
Florida man got to enjoy snow falling all day. Even at the end walking back to the room. Fluffy powder falling on my head.

Yesterday when 3 homies got me to slide a tube that I was nervous about trying. And they were so hyped and helping along the way.
 
Skied a foot or two of fresh for 8 hours straight Saturday, stopped in frisco with hella friends and had a couple beers and just chilled for like 4 or 5 hours. Then Sunday hit a street spot that was pretty buck and managed to not eat shit once while trying it then went home and watched broncos win and chiefs lose!!! Girlfriend cooked a banger meal it was a sick weekend but I'm pretty stoked to just sit in my chair at work and click buttons on my keyboard for a job cuz I'm sore as hell lol. The only benefit of a desk job is that it gives you an excuse to get paid for resting your body, so I am smiling!!!
 
met this ski coach from Argentina, and started speaking Spanish with him and was telling about my dad who is also from Argentina and how we got to go skiing there. Was nice to speak a little Spanish and bond over a shared hobby.
 
Told a consecutive gym goer that they are killing it and I can see results. Their face lit up with the biggest smile.

i was at lunch with an old friend and she complimented this girl’s necklace and it made her day. i never notice that stuff but its so easy to say and people love it
 
met up with an old homie. we went for a quick skin with his pup and it was super rad to see him. one of those friends i see a couple times a year but its like we’ve been kickin it the whole time. he’s a guide in silverton/ak in the winter and chile/antartica in the summer/fall with some private trips sprinkled in between. way more badass than me lol. he’s also like 3 years sober and has been a huge supporter of my sobriety over these last 280 days.

I met an ski patrol dog named Gravy today. Very good boy. Also got worked on bump run’s today and feel like I am starting to get back on track to get in shape for winter. Overall a great day trying to keep up with [tag=263776]@signtime[/tag] who makes icy bumps look way too easy
 
Skied new skis and bindings for the first time in like 5 years yesterday, what a feeling. They’re park skis but they were so sharp and fast I just ended up zooming around the resort instead of hitting rails
 
I wish I had gone skiing today but the base in WA is hot garbage and the lift lines make downtown Beijing look peaceful by comparison. So we took a friend up on an offer to booze cruise around Elliot bay:

I’m pet sitting for a family friend and I woke up to the cat and the dog both asleep in the bed with me. Pretty hard to have a bad day after that tbh
 
productive day at work and almost didn’t go ski but got out there for some power laps 5 park laps in 45 mins. also confirmed going touring with this babe on friday and that got me fuckin hyped!
 
went for a 4.5 hour tour with a girl who’s way to good lookin for me then hit 3 park laps on my way home so it was a sick day of skiing ?
 
Went up to Mammoth and rode today. Yesterday was feeeling beat and the weather was shit. Today was feeling really rough but it was such a nice day.

First time on the hill in CA in almost 4 years.

Beautiful day for it! Stoked to ride more this season.
 
Trying to plan a trip with my buddy on his only week off this entire year. Checking flights and different locations. Turns out flights to Anchorage from Cleveland and Columbus last week of January are only about $350 round trip. Lift tickets, lodging, and rental cars are comparably priced to other locations. Soooooo might be making a spontaneous trip to Alaska. Fuck yeah

sounds sick! just want to make sure your expectations are set. on january 31st sunrise is 9:17am and sunset is at 5:02pm for a total of 7 hour and 45 minutes of daylight. the same day where i live in CO is gonna have 10 hours 9 minutes on the same day. just something to consider. anything you do with the right people is always a good call!

Thanks for the heads up but yeah I definitely considered that. Half the time in lower 48 ski resorts I'm not going first to last chair anyway. Should be enough time to hit the better stuff, then still got lights for part of the mountain.
 
Holiday rush and training has me stressed to the gills, but I was getting ready to be dispatched to a call today as a sled-runner and to shadow and this lil ripper and his dad skied by and waved at as and said "thank you". Made me smile a lot and chill me out. I love seeing the lil guys and girls out there having fun.
 
Finished college a few days ago but grades came out today to confirm I passed all my classes. Anyone know how to get a free license to Fusion 360? I'm probably gonna lose my academic license in a few months lol.

I was away this past week traveling Europe a bit using lots of public transportation and I witnessed many upon many acts of kindness. I saw numerous people(including myself) give their seats up for the elderly, mothers with her children, people leaving bags behind and a person noticing and chasing down the owner to return it, I saw money dropped and others pick it up and give back to the person who dropped it when they could have easily just turned and walked away. Doors being held, politeness and just good people.

I know I get turned off by hearing about bad, negative things but there is truly some good people on this big ball we live on. I hope all of us here are able to experience or make a positive experience happen for others. Cheers to all of you!
 
You probably have plenty of time. I still have all my academic licenses from grad school 2 years ago.

The chevron in Govy was doing punch cards for cord dogs one summer. Was the best and worst thing ever
 
Being able to open-up the lower section of the Park at work today. People were stoked. Thank you Alan, he's like the only park crew guy so I go to war for the guy.
