Post-Season pants help

now that my season has come to a close, I noted that my pants have seen a lot of damage. Don’t get me wrong, I love them, but I have a lot of quarrels with them. First off, they’re super flappy in the wind, due to the thin shell they’re made of. Second, they’ve gotten numerous holes over the course of the season that I don’t know how to patch up, and third, the zipper, although extremely helpful, clashes a lot with the rest of my ski fit due to the bright white sticking out a LOT on the pants, and was wondering a good method of possibly covering it but still being able to utilize it. I’ll attach some pictures below, would appreciate any help you guys could give.

if your ok loosing the zipper, just cut it out and sew the pants back together. But if you want to have the zipper, the easiest way to hide it would prolly be to sew a little flap over it that does a 3 side wrap so you can still acces it. kinda like this

I might just cut out the zipper, but In order for the pants to fit over my boot, I usually use the zippers. Is there an easy way to make one of those elastic cuffs snowpants have to fit around the boot?

Theres a way, but ive never seen anyone add it to existing pants. You could sew a line around the ankles an inch or so above the bottom so its like a sealed section, then put a synch in it. Can get them for pretty cheap on amazon

Duct tape the holes in a bright color so people know you ski hard enough to rip your clothes

I have a very old coat that is almost as much duct tape as it is coat now. I won't retire it until it disintegrates

If you have access to a sewing machine and a bit of time you can cut out a rectangle that's a bit more than double the width of the flattened cuff and abt 6 inches tall. Then get some elastic webbing and stretch it across the width of the rectangle and hold it stretched as you sew it to the bottom. Then you can sew the ends of the rectangle together to make it a cuff shape. then you can push it into the inside of the pants and line up the non-elastic part of the new cuff with the bottom of the pants cuff. Then just sew a line around the cuff to attach them together and you should be done. It sounds a little complicated but its not too bad and its what i do for making pants. heres a sketch i made to kinda explain it. sorry for the terrible handwriting.

fuck I should've said something when my parents sold the family sewing machine. I appreciate the help though, I might look into borrowing another
