Post-Season Hiking

So I mentioned this in a thread recently, but I thought it deserved its own thread so hopefully more people will see it. I am coming back from UT this upcoming week, and I for one would be stoked on some post season bristol park hiking. If you haven't done it before, it basically consists of getting together a decently sized crew of skiers to go into the park after bristol is closed (accessing it by the back road and driving ot the top) and seshing our brains out. Because no one is up there we can move around boxes and rails at will and make some pretty fun setups. In the past people have also brought up small grills for food and coolers filled with drinks. Even if you don't want to ski but just want to come up and hang out or film, you are more than welcome. I was thinking of possibly going up on Sunday the 20th and/or the weekend of the 26th and 27th as well. If you are interested post up and hopefully people can plan ahead and we can have a good sized crew to go sesh and have a good time with.
 
if enough people decide to go ill deff try to make my way up there....i miss all you guys and even though i havent met you ive heard about you. but guys let me know if you are going!
 
Let's get some people up there this week during spring break. I've talked to Spencer a little bit but if we could get a few more people up there it would be sick so post up some days you guys are free and we should get up there.
 
Yo Stephen I don't know what I'm doing this week cause papa is working and I got baseball a couple times. I don't think I'm doing anything next weekend though and it looks like it might be nice.
 
Yeah man I'm free this week except for work on Friday and maybe Saturday, but other than that I'm good to go. But I dunno if I can get a ride. And I've messed up some tissues in my left knee but I might still wing it.
 
So I'm thinkin about trying do a session on Sunday the 20th, and then one the next weekend if we still have a bunch of snow, if people are free, weather is good, etc. And as for next Sunday, hopefully weather will be nice and we can get a good crew, I'll post up as I know more/it gets closer.
 
I still might go down cause my dad likes to hike rocket a couple times. Stephen if you wanna meet up or something lemme know.
 
I think I'm gonna bail. I'd have more fun and success with a back yard rail jam. Still got the Steel 12 footer, and we just made a 20 footer 4" PVC.
 
yea i couldn't make it today, i know it was the date i said i could go too haha. but i got back home at 9 last night after 2000 miles of driving the last three days so i'm just takin 'er easy and unpacking today. it would still be cool to do something in the spring/summer with a bunch of bristolians though. maybe some backyard sessions or something.
 
Yeah back yard sessions would be sweet. We got the 12 foot rail, the 20 foot rail, and we're gonna be making a 20+ foot flat box and a battleship box.
 
ok, so i think me and j sully are going to go hike bristol tomorrow and hit a box setup on the snow from the big jump in the park. anyone and everyone who wants to go is welcome, ill post the time as soon as i know it or if you want more info or see this tomorrow and want to go gimme a text or call at 585-410-5536.
 
yo so jon and i and prolly james as well are planning on taking a pvc rail of mine and setting it up by the base of rocket tomorrow if anyone else wants to come or is interested. i think we will prolly meet around 1 in the parking lot.
 
bristol really doesn't care anyways...i ran into danny fuller last year when i was hiking with my dad and he didn't mind at all
 
in december when there was mad snow and like half the mountain was closed he just poached galaxy a couple times with an off-duty patroller and instructor
 
Not only does Papa Scroz get props for that, but for being the only 51 year old I've ever seen grease the Culvert Pipe and the Kink Box.
