Post Counts Deleted?

Whats wrong with proper grammar anyways? I'd rather read anything JD posts then 99% of everything else posted (in terms of coherent posts).
 
Well so far he does seem to be the smarter one here. Theres nothing wrong with proper grammer, it just seemed like he was trying to act superior over the rest of us. Maybe i interpreted it wrong, if so, then i just have been thoroughly owned.
 
I think there would be a lot less posting on ns if there was no post count but also there would be less worthless posts people would just read shit and not feel the need to post one word at the end
 
honestly, ijust post when i want to. if i see a thread or a topic that i feel i want to post in, i do... im not just posting to raise my post count, that is the dumbest thing ive ever heard

and if someone hasnt contributed and has a huge post count, people dont take it seriously
 
why not make it like they do on the burton message boards, like where they have green bars instead of a post count, so someone with a lot of posts would have more green bars than a noob, and you can check there post count if you really need to under there profile. that sounds nice
 
I could care less if the post count is there or not. Like it was said before the people who help out and contribute with good post become known throughout the site, sometimes they even get bumped up to mod status for being so helpful. Also on an unrelated topic ns could get rid of the whole donator stages and change to just a symbol for donators and none for non-donators. I would have no problem sharing donator privelages with someone who only gave 1 dollar, if your gonna split up the donators why not make a gold coin forum??
 
Post counts don't really matter at all. I think it's a fucking riot when people get pissed at how high my count is for an example. I post a lot of legit stuff and rarely, if ever post something short and retarded to make my count go up. There's one member on this site that I can think of that's a prime example of someone who takes it to seriously and he's been around for a while. When are people going to realize that it is just a number? All it means is that you posted this many times, that's it!
 
Oh and Jeff made this thread because he is jealous of how many posts I have. Thought I would throw that out there, ;)
 
post counts dont mean anything. but i do tend to trust people more about like buying and selling stuff if they have a higher post count. but whereas ryno or something said that he knows alot of people with small post counts who do actually know alot about things rather than people who have high post counts that dont say anything usefull. you can say that about member since dates too. because alot of people may have just made their ns name, and be new to the site, but still know a lot more than someone who has been on the site for three years
 
Its there for good reasons with good intentions, its only a problem because some assholes use it wrongly. Therefore....

Lets ban sex because some people dont use it the way it was intended!!!
 
My bro's forum has a 'rep-power' meter that goes up little by little when they make legit posts. the main guy of the forum make the call to, but they only have about 150-200 legit members, so it makes it easier.

Good idea though.
