Post-college year out west

Hey guys, I am from Connecticut and I am planning on moving to Colorado, or somewhere else out west for the 2011-2012 season after I graduate from college next May.

Any suggestions from anyone who has either done this before, is planning on doing this, or knows someone who has done this would be greatly appreciated.

I am a marketing major, so obviously an ideal job would be something along those lines in the area, but that is a very far reach. Looking past that I am interested in working at one of the resorts or being a ski instructor.

I would really appreciate it with any advice on this topic from anyone who knows what they are talking about, thanks a lot.

i'm doing that now, moved out here in august, but i don't think I will be leaving anymore. Be prepared for that. I'm in Boulder doing web development freelance and I get a bunch of work, and this is easily one of the best places to live.

Hey dude...been a looong time since I've posted on this site...was actually just looking for park updates, but...

I'm actually from CT originally...Madison and Clinton. I moved to Baltimore for 2 years after college and just moved to Denver about 5 months ago. It is amazing out here...everyone is super cool, Denver is an awesome city, and it's easy to get to the mountains.

I'd recommend living in Denver. You can live in Capitol Hill for cheaper than anywhere else probably...I live in Uptown. Other popular areas are Washington Park and The Highlands.

I made a bunch of friends here and we all went in on renting a condo in Silvethorne for the winter. Super cheap, close to Keystone/Breck/Abasin.

You could message me if you want any other info. I highly recommend it though...best life decision I ever made.
