I have too in Boston for the most part after it snowed over four inches about three days this winter.

This isn’t my picture but I’ve thought about hitting this spot on skis ever since my homie Ryan hit the hubba handrail on blades for a sponsor me video.

That’s a cool lil spot. Set up a wooden dropin with some speed bumps and it’s game.
 
What is you guys opinion on when someone hits you up in the dms and wants to know where a spot is, and you dont share it right away, curious to know. Happened to me and the other person was triggered cause i didn't want to share the spot right away. Its a famous spot and he found it in 2sec, but im pretty sure he said okboomer or oldhead in his head. It's an instagram skier btw

The Rail is longer in Person, from this picture it looks like a skate rail. We should of shot with a fisheye for this spot and not a zoom lens lol.

yeah that is a good question, i was talking to my friend 2sec earlier and he said he wanted to hit it, its a new rail at a famous spot that's never been done so. I dont really what to do in these types of situations, has a lot of people have been asking me for spots since last year, and it's kind of hard to navigate. People want spots, i know where every spot is in my city, but people are lazy and they expect you to give them the spot. Curious to see what other people's advices are on the subject, it's a touchy subject

Cause in the streets if you know where the spots are, the power is in your hands lol and some people expect that you'll just give the spot away when all they could do is a bit of research or spot hunting

are you making a video or just hoarding spots? Could just tell homie you are saving it for your video. I feel most people doing street would at least understand that, but don’t expect it to stop them from trying to find it still.

Overall, I say the golden rule applies. Do unto others as you’d like done into yourself. If you ever wanna be asking people for spots then you gotta be will to share some of your own. It’s always situational, just don’t be a dick and it’s all good.

yeah i have trouble reading between the lines too when people slide in the dms for spots. But solid advice as usual. At the end of the day, everyone wants to hit street and make a video, if the spot is famous fuck it first come first served, might as well just give the pin, i dont know why I hesitated. It's just that when you want to help a homie and another person comes in and wants to hit the same spot, things can get weird.

Broooo yeah it’s at Lmc I want to hit so bad I didn’t even realize it snowed in NC my friends in Boone said it doesn’t snow there anymore. I toured the college because I had a downhill race at beech and my mom wanted me to tour it lol

It still snows a decent bit every few winters, 2 seasons ago i hit some street spots around boone and on ASU's campus.

this spot was on the list for like 4 years before we had enough snow to hit it

This is a good question imo.

First off, no one is obligated to share a spot with someone, especially if they're acting entitled or rude in your DMs. Of course it's good to help people out, but part of the fun and challenge of street skiing is going to the effort to find spots.

If it's a well-known spot that people have gotten clips at, why wouldn't you share it? The horse is already out of the barn, so to speak. Also might as well share it if you know of a spot that you're realistically never gonna step to.

If you found a spot that no one's hit before and you really want to get a clip on it, it is completely reasonable to keep it to yourself. Just don't be a dick about it.

Wish this was true. Getting park clips is way easier (obviously) and allows you to get way more views on instagram and tiktok, so a lot of people don't bother with street skiing. However it does seem like there's more interest these days. Hyped to watch whatever videos are dropping in the fall.

For real. I’ve tried sharing that list with some of my friends and it doesn’t work, you have to designate it as a “list” since it’s just a page of marked places. And my ass ain’t going through and redoing all of those lol.

When you drop a pin, click add label. If you want to be able to share the map tho, hit the little save ribbon and then it’ll ask which list you wanna save it to which is just a google default of lists. Those lists you can share but you can’t share the blue flags unfortunately.
