Definitely never heard of them before. Really interesting stuff though, enjoyed it. I'm not too sure what it was all about, but it got a bit depressing.
haha did you hear it in gossip girl? i wasn't familiar with the song so i looked it up and the first link i found was from the gossip girl soundtrack. that song is sick though!
i love the band because the singer lost his son when his son was super young, and they wrote a ton of songs to deal with the loss, like the one i posted. another great one about their son:
honestly i don't remember where i first heard cloud cult...i just remember it was happy hippo and i was thinking "oh come on this song can't be good" and then i was just blow away by everything. so good!
i didn't know that about the band but now happy hippo makes so much sense.
Sorry that I'm not commenting on another track before posting this, but there seems to be a lot of that going on anyways, and I'm somewhat drunk and very impatient.
Cloud Cult is one of my favorite bands of all time. I used to have every single song of theirs before their new album this year, but ended up going through all of them and deleting some songs because they were just too weird... I really want to go to one of their concerts and see the whole painting thing, such a cool idea.
One of my favs by them:
And has anyone heard this song before?
Haven't found anyone who has heard of Godamn Electric Bill:
I've weirdly heard the first one. Math rock's pretty cool.
The second one was very generic though. Not a fan of music like that. Hated the singers (sound like every other singer like that), and the video was pretty bad as well.
I'd really like to hear what people think of this, especially when half this forum mainly listens to dubstep.
I kinda realized that after I posted it, especially since they're canadian and a lot of people on here are as well. No one where I live knows who they are at least.
There is some really really good stuff in this thread. A little more pretentious judging of musical choice than I'm used to on NS but it's ok. ^I'm not too big on the Grateful Dead so I don't know what I think of that one, but it wasn't bad at all.
I doubt anyone's heard of this, since the only link to it on youtube has like 500 plays. But it's a happy summer mix for sure. Actually I might have shared it before on NS so you might have heard it.
