yes i know its a ford gt, and i know alot of you are going to be saying that the bugatti is better, but after putting a heffner twin turbo on this it develops over 1000 bhp, and not to mention you can do it at a fraction of the price of a bugatti. so now in my opinion the two best cars in the world are, the saleen s7 twin turbo, and the ford gt x1 with the heffner twin turbo. but dont listen to me, please listen to the car.

for cheaper you can buy a viper and send it in to Hennessey. the Hennessy venom 1000 upgrade will bring the viper up to 1000 hp and it has crazy performance. 0-60 in 2.9 and a top speed of 255 mph. But the ultimate car for speed, the fastest production car is the Koenigsegg CCXR which has 1018 hp, 0-60 in 2.9 and top speed of 257.
 
That first shot was sex. I still like the older one better. This one sounds louder than it is fast and jeremy wasn't super stoked on it either. You can always tell because he'll yell.
 
well the viper is ok, i have a friend who had the viper venom, and his wife loved it, but he sold it any way, and he has the gt now, he says the handling is very good, because its a mid engine, but he thinks the viper is a better car for a person who wants a track day car, and doesnt have as much experience.
 
well yeah...im not a big fan of the viper or the koenigsegg, they are both just fast as hell. Im into cars like 1967 Shelby GT500E or a 1967 ferrari GTB4 cam.
 
i saw some thing on speed channel, and the guy who designed the gt also designed the saleen, and im pretty sure he said the saleen is basically the gt but more track ready, tuned ect...

so by putting the TT in to the gt wouldnt it basicall be the saleen with a different body?

i dont drive yet, but im in the process of restoring a 1971 porsche 911 targa with my dad. But when i do drive, hopefully ill get my dads Jaguar XJR, but thats very doubtful since its too nice for a first car

The only reason why I'm not a big fan of the GT is because it's Ford. Don't get me wrong though because it is a pretty bad ass machine, but American cars don't really humor me at all really.

^That sucks that you don't have Top Gear. I love watching it twice every Monday night. Sorry.
 
well i still have BBC but i cant make it on monday nights so i always look forward to tuesday when i get home from school because i watch it on "on demand" and now i cant. =[

seriously I think you are one of maybe ten car girls I've ever talked to in my life, and it's been my experience that they are kinda freaky in a good way and usually pretty good looking.

AS for the OP

I personally would not call the GT the best car ever no matter how you tune it. (also Clarkson sold his GT for a Gallardo Spyder)

I'm not sure what I would consider the best car, there are to many factors and you can't get one car to do it all. If yo can please tell me because I have yet to find a sweet track car that stirs the soul, can be Daily driven, can tow things like boats bikes and trailers, and is comfortable for long trips.

Yeah I'm a huger car guy too. I think for me cars might be right on level with skiing and my new thing of learning to wakeboard is quickly getting up there too, cuz I can finally rekindle my never ending love of the water and of boats.

Also Hennessey as much as I love his insane cars, is a huge crook, look it up

and the reason the Veyron is so much more is because when your going 258MPH (being the second fastest road legal car now thanks to the SSC Aero) it feels like you are cruising at a regular speed, or so TOP Gear says, I haven't even seen a Veyron in real life let alone ridden in one.

Like a lot of people here... strongly dislike Ford, but that is a sexy animal. The sound alone is boner-inducing. Even the styling and look of the car is pretty fantastic. I really can't hate on that thing. If money were no object, not gonna lie, I'd probably own one.
 
false. The 1001hp Bugatti Veyron has a top speed of 253mph and the SSC (Shelby Super Cars) aultimate Aero is the second fastest street legal car on the market, it has a top speed of 256mph. The SSC ultimate Aero also weighs 800 pounds less then the Veyron. As i said in one of my earlier posts, the fastest production car as of right now is the swedish-made Koenigsegg CCXR which has a top speed of 257mph and a 0-60 time of 2.9 seconds. The 1018hp Koenigsegg CCXR has a twin turbocharged V-8 engine that runs on E85 Ethanol fuel.

I am a car fanatic.
 
Absolutely, I'm not a gear head but I know my cars. I must say, I like the styling on that GT a LOT... honestly I'd call it a toss-up on a lot of the AMs I've seen.

so according to those sites the SSC Aero TT is the current fastest production car but in all honesty I can't keep up with who breaks the record recently so the Koenigsegg CCXr could very well be the fastest right now (but wasn't the e85 a one-of which would make it not a production car?). for me it all culminates with the McLaren F1 anyway, I would walk past every Top speed contender and take the McLaren over everything else, especially if it was a GTR edition or the LM.

Just my opinion.

 
I'm not denying that at all, I'm a big fan of AM's cars and I'm normally not a fan at all of Ford's work but... they've wowed me with this one.

i'm not much a fan of american cars, but that thing was pretty sick. I'd be alright with any sort Porsche 911, particularly the one that Hammond drives on the episode when they go searching for the best road in Europe.
 
My dream car is still a old Datsun Z with a RB25 swap in it.

Pretty damn good for a 30 year old car plus they are one of the best looking cars of all time
 
I like the new Altima coupes a lot, but only if its the 3.5 V6 model.

Still a nice car in the 2.5 i-4 though.
