Yesterday on m rip to Sundown, I decided to take a few good practice runs before hitting the park. Once we get o the park we immediately head to the deathtrap that sundown calls a pipe. First hit, 360, came down hard, decked out, and pretty much broke my shoulder. Today im awaiting surgery where i get to have a screw put in my arm. Sleeping on it last night was a bitch. I might be able to ski march but thats not garrunteed. Next I'll pretty much miss a rail jam.
Shit Happens, I guess it could've been worse.

man i skiied sundown in Iowa once, i thought there pipe was decent, ice, but ok. This was about 6 yrs ago, so shit could have changed, or i was a little bitch.

Their pipe was alright, but the top 2 feet of the wall were solid ice, and the deck was pretty much chopped up ice and crud that hung out over the edge of the wall. Hopefully I'm healed before our annual colorado trip.

Just got out yesterday with 2 screws, a sling for 8 weeks, and a badass scar when it heals up. On the bright side my parents will finally let me go to windells so i can get "professionally trained" so i dont hurt myself again.

ahh that sucks dude. when i hurt myself they were saying i could possibly need surgery if it didnt heal properly. but it turned out just fine. good luck to ya.

ski with a sling its really not that bad and i have been doing for the last two years(5 shoulder injuries since last winter)

Consider yourself lucky. My sister's friend who ski races broke her femur, dislocated her shoulder, broke her arm in multiple places, and had surgery the same day. They kicked her out of the hospital the next day. Anyways though, she'll ski next season, and so will you. Besides, at least you got a good half season in.
