Well the title explains it all. I think I may be hitting up Arapahoe this weekend as Im gonna land in Denver friday night and then just drive somewhere. Anyone have any tips or any other recommendations for resorts within around a 2hr drive?

thanks in advance

unsure why you would rule out Copper as it is amazing and by far my favorite.

that said, a bunch of us will be grilling at the beach at ABasin on Sunday. stop on by. 3rd spot.

ive skiied copper a few times and feel like i just keep on hitting the same stuff, looking for some more intresting spots

A basin was pretty fun yesterday and my friends said breck had some good snow today too. If you're here for a few days, I'd hit up Abasin and keystone in one day, then either copper or breck

Breck has more open than Keystone, and is just a better mountain in general. However, you have to pay to park at Breck. Everyone snow is getting hit by the warm weather, be warned.

Breck sucks. Its always windy and the mountain is bigger but it's nowhere near as fun as keystone. I'll let you know that now. Also, if you carpool with 3 or more people parking is free.

Free to park at both Breck and Keystone. Don't know why you would do otherwise. At Breck hit the airport lot (first parking lot indicator sending you right). You can take a bus from that lot straight to the lifts or to a gondola. Keystone, don't know where you even have to pay there.

keystone is literally a few mintues down the road, breck is maybe 15-20 away. if your willing to drive 40 more minutes you can go to vail.

A basin is about everything but the terrain until the east wall is open...it's not. The beach is where you grill, get drunk, and hang out with the peeps.

I hear a lot of people hate on Copper. It seems nice. I've never been there.

yeah never see much love for Copper. i love it, however. great terrain, easy to get around, fun park, tends to get the most out of the I-70 storms, and an incredibly great vibe. always pictured Copper as what it would be like if i had a huge mountain in my backyard with all my friends.
