Possibly buying a Powerbook G3

I don't know much detail about it at all, but I might have the opportunity to get one for $150. Are these comps too outdated to even bother or should I pick it up?

you don't know what the hell you're talking about, and maddock, g3 is from like 1999 making it worth nothing, although it could be a vintage photograph of a pre-new-millenium portable computer

not happening. G5 processor runs too hot for a laptop. Thats partly the reason Apple is switching over to intel chips.

the question isnt should I get a G3 for $150 the question is what do you want to do with it?

here are what you can and cant do with it:

internet browsing: yes

email:yes

word processing: yes

Video editing: not with the new programs

picture editing: not with the new programs

audio work: not with the new programs

games: flash games yes, and computer games for mac back when it was at system 9 (there are like 3 or 4 of them)

150 bucks isnt much money but im sure you can find someone willing to give you theres for free. my neighbours gave me theirs and I in turn gave it to a friend in france who didnt have a computer.
