they are trying to get everything figured out for a mid to late feb comp for slopestyle for skiers and boarders. i will keep it updated if they get it a date picked out and who is sponsoring the event.
 
if u can go to buckhill MN they have something called twin tip tuesdays, they half three this month, two are slopestyle and one is big air.
 
USASA Is only great if you have TONS of competitors. For local events it sucks big time because if there's 3 people in an age bracket, what does it teach you if you beat two people? Nothing.

Local comps should be 15 and under, and open. Also - the open category is open to all. Allow any athlete who is under 15 to move up to the big boys class. That way, the sooner they start competing with the better riders, their skill level will grow faster.

This will in-turn drive the sport and it's athletes to higher competition levels sooner.

If anyone on here works with Alpine, and they are looking for sponsorship for the event, please have them get in touch with me.
 
dude no offense but you guys really need to work on how you setup your rails, it just looks like you put no time into it

 
slopestyle comp.. sounds sick. i've never been to alpine but this would give me a reason to check it out.

I was there today. By any chance to the guy who works in the park crew? Are you the one in lethal descent and t-halls. Anyways, the rails were kinda sticky today. But there jump need to be worked on, the landings big time.
 
cant blame me ive been telling them all year how to build a real jump but the owner of the resort which grooms is lazy and wont take the time to build us landings and shit like that so i cant do anything about that until he realizes that thoses jumps are so dangerous w/o landings. BUT IM TRULY SRY THAT THEY SUCK, I WISH I COULD DO SOMETHING MORE ABOUT IT, he wont listen to me.
 
yeah ive been telling them whats up for about two months, showing them pictures of jumps and telling how to build a jump the right way but they dont understand i guess and doesnt know how to help build a true park.
 
to do it that way would be the stupidest thing ever. You need to be able to push from the top and bottom to build up a landing.
 
Im out at alpine almost everyday. The comp coming up is gonna be held by The Board Shop in LG. But the park crew at alpine sucks. They have kids that are like 10-14 years old spending 30 minutes piling snow onto a lip of a flat rail. Aside from that, Trevor and Anthony (LDC and t halls) are the only two who know whats up. ive talked to the crew manager many times and he always says that he is going to fix the jumps or layout the rails but they never do.
 
when are any of you guys going next? i always go with my boner snowboard friends so i usually board with them, havent got to use my twin tips yet and id like to with some skiers
 
I'll be out there Wednesday Friday Saturday and Sunday. Black saga pants and prolly my dripset.
 
I've got a race but it's at alpine so I'll be there. Me and my homies will be bombing the jump line in our ski team gear!
 
it would be bomb if they pushed the big jump up the hill a little bit. pretty tough to achieve speed for it now days, plus if you put it up the hill a bit where its steeper, the landing would be less of an issue. just my 2c. New rail set up is fun, but with the first bar at the top, there is no way it doesn't get icy. Maybe move that one down to the flat somewhere, the landing just gets soooo hard where it is now
 
yeah it was real slow sunday but you couldnt get enough speed for it and the second jumps landings is all chopped up

it was first day out skiing so if any of you saw the kid skiing in the green jacket and black pants, sorry for ruining ns rep.
 
eh even if there was a comp its not like it matters because that one joey farmer kid in the full magic suit would kill everyone
 
yeah, but that kid seems like hes pissed off all the time haha. but he slays...and I suck, so maybe I should get down to business. See yall tomorrow, shred the fresh stuff haha. unless ur going to Granite, heard TC is gonna be there
