Possible July Event at Boreal: Opinions

Just got into the office after a 6-week break and we have begun discussing having an event in July. Couple of questions, please let me know your thoughts.

Would you be willing to come up 4th of July weekend to shred or would you prefer the weekend after?

If we were able to have a chairlift running, would you be willing to purchase a lift ticket?

That sounds so sick! Bummed my knee will be stopping me from skiing in July in Boreal.

I feel like more people would want to come out the weekend after 4th of July, but I could be wrong

And if I were able to ski I would for sure buy a lift ticket, hiking in hot weather gets super hard after a while

I really hope this goes down, I drove by the other day and there is still sooooo much snow! it would be awesome!

Unfortunately, I won't be in the states for the fourth of july, but I'd love to come up.

Here's my take: If you do the weekend of the 4th of july, you'll get die-hard skiers, park rats in the area, and other people who'd rather celebrate the 4th by skiing and snowboarding.

If you do the weekend after, you'll get all those^ and also whichever gaper hears about it and thinks it'll be cool to ski in july. Also, if you do the weekend after, you'll be able to claim the last resort to offer skiing in california, if mammoth doesn't extend the season beyond the 4th.

As a skier who doesn't like crowds of people who just get in the way, I say the 4th of july. As a skier who understands you need people to make money, I say the weekend after.

I'd be so down to go, though, if only I weren't in europe.

i think you guys should wait till the weekend after since mammoth is still open and poppin.

Would be super stoked though if you guys put up some jibs and maybe even a jump. Would deff pay out i would think if you stayed open for as long as possible.

weekend after for sure. most people have plans on the 4th and other obligations like work, it would make better business sense to open the weekend after because you would for sure sell more tickets.
also, it would be nice if our passes worked from last season, but i can understand why you wouldnt allow that. but maybe offer like a discount for pass holders or a super cheap deal on next years if you buy it that weekend.

i would absolutely pay to lap a solid jump via chairlift. If it were just jibs i'd just hike. weekend after the 4th would be awesome

4th of july i wouldn't be able to, but weekend after i would for sure.

i assume this coule be the case with a good amount of people.

You guys got SO LUCKY with the weather this spring, lol. Those piles would have NEVER have lasted, without it snowing every day this May.

I think it could be a really fun time, but only if there is a lift. Other wise you may as well just find your own snow patch to jib and party on.

on second thought, 4th of July might be best

Pipe to Pipe is the 10th up at WIndells and i know alot of the boarders from the area are going up for that

just a thought
