Possession and Deportation.

Take a day trip to get legally drunk and them head back... Am I missing something? Like maybe the moral of the story?

Well IGNORANCE is no excuse. And if this is real, it fucking reeks of it.

Have you ever seen cops, or things on dea, or nat geo anything. Fucking movies? There's so many things about the checkpoints at the border, you have to be a fucking idiot not to think about it.

If weed is a big deal, trying to bring weed across an international border is probably a bigger deal. The peanut butter thing is kind of beat because to many people talked about it everywhere. Hell the cops busting people on the way to bonnaroo one of the years were searching peanut butter jars because they heard about it on the message board.

But the fact that he didn't even try to hide it? Come on.

And I'm totally against the drug war, and don't think this is right. I'm not saying he got what he deserved, but how the hell did he think this was a good idea?

And does he realize that people smuggle weed INTO the us from canada. Why the hell would you try and smuggle it the other direction.

Mind blowing shit.

He stashed for sure, just not in a peanut jar or food packaging. Smells are hard to hide from dogs. Peanut butter wont hide the smell. Dogs can separate smells between the peanut butter and cannabis. The thing is you can trick officers into thinking the dog is interested in food instead of your weed. Of course he knew there was a higher risk when crossing the boarder with weed he was just being a dumbass and thought he was in the clear and thought it would be like a car crossing the boarder. I give him so much shit for geting turned around at the boarder. hahaha. It has opened my eyes to the risks of bringing drugs across the boarder.

I just don't understand how this had to happen to open your eyes. IT'S AN INTERNATIONAL BORDER! You know how people are putting drugs in animals, making tunnels, secret compartments in cars, all that shit on the news. They aren't doing it just because they are bored and want to look cool.

At least he didn't have anything else on him. What's his charge? What state did he cross from. Interested on if you can get a trafficking charge for even that much nugs and how whatever charge he gets relates to the normal charges for that amount in most states.

Next time, boof that shit.

If he listened to me he'd have prolly been fine.

In BC weed is de facto decriminalized... OP didnt mention where he was caught but mentioned he wanted to go to BC so I assumed it was there...

>crossing WA state to BC

>border patrol finds weed in my center console, empty beer cans, and a couple empty bags of coke

>threaten to 'deport' me back to the us where i'll be taken to jail

>be honest, reasonable, and calm with them

>they take the contraband, say clean your car out next time

>have been to BC, Costa rica, and mexico since

problema la migra??

No. No it is not. Pot is still very much illegal in British Columbia. There are no laws in BC that differ from any other province in the country. In fact, with the new 'tough on crimes' shit in Canada now laws against pot growers and users are worse than before. Just because cops don't really enforce the laws doesn't mean they aren't there. Don't get too comfortable with pot because that's when you'll get fucked over. Don't want to end up in jail, do we?

as i said before... weed is DE FACTO legal. as a personal user you will not be arrested if you have small amounts for personal use which is what i imagine this kid had. he wasnt growing or distributing. you even said yourself the cops dont really enforce the laws.
