So there is this kid, he goes to my school, and I always see him in the park. He is always sayin how much he is a steeze. well no hes tryin to be all gangster steeze, and it is kinda annoying, cuz he thinks he is my friend and that he is in wit the park ratz, but he is a complete poser. How do i tell him off.
 
just be nice to him and let him do what he wants? Skiing is for having fun and being stoked, and this kid probably looks up to you if he wants to be your friend. You shoudl just give him some encouragement, because that can go a long way for him to learn new stuff and get him psyched about skiing. Theres no reason to be a dick and tell people off when they really are doing nothing wrong. Thats what ski patrol weekend warrior gapers who hate snowboarders and twintippers do.

Breck isn't that great for all mountain, all they really have is E chair for bumps and Lake Chutes for steeps, but there are some killer bowls though...head over to A Basin and shred it, sick trees off of Pali lift...
 
Theres no need for arrogance, don't tell him off. Unless he is actually a dickfuck piece of shit. Otherwise just ignore him, or maybe if hes a good guy help him out a bit so hes less of a poser and instead maybe someone you can chill with.
 
this one time i was skiing and i was not a shallow prick. i can be friends with someone even if they suck at skiing.

honestly who cares! as long as he isnt rolling over the lips of jumps and getting in the way. who cares if he isnt good..

also if you can ski (i mean ski, not park) take him and go ski some of the good stuff Breck has. have him make perfect fast turns down "the Burn" hit up peak 7(hike to the top) , i could go on forever...

and if he isnt looking for a fight, dont start one.
 
i hate that, id say play the game skate but skiing and show him off like 270 on and then hes gotta do better than and so on, once he realizes hes sucks at life, ditch him and go ski with your good friends.

Or you can always try to actually make him steezy, unless hes annoying.

Or just leave him alone in the park and you should go ski some back country
 
park rat is a derogatory term. "park rat" basically means that you never go out of the park (even when conditions and terrain are good), have little skiing skills except for rails and jumping, and have the whole stereotypical im-better-than-you look how cool i am mentality.

a person who rides park because they live in indiana isn't necessarily a park rat, just a kid who only has park to ride.
 
if he is actually a cool kid to be around but his skiing skills are lacking just be cool with him and teach him whats to loose .... but if he is a dumbshit that thinks he is gods gift to skiing make it akward to be around so he doesnt want to ski with you
 
i think the thread creator was just saying that the kid would talk about how good he is and he cant back up his words. but i may be wrong
 
if he is a super gay then just ignore him but if he is just not that good help him get better. He hangs with you because he wants to be more like you most likely. Or just get him hurt
 
no, fool, that's the definition of a kid who likes skiing big mountain more than park, but likes park aswell, just not as much

yeah im not gonna just go cruise groomers with the gapers all day or ski week old crusty snow in the bckcountry. the only way i would not ski the park is if it was powder day.
 
well if park stuff isnt skiing then i guess not, ill sometimes go ski a run or two in the morning just to mess around, but just carving or doing mogul's is just boring. and when you mainly ski at breck and keystone its kinda hard not to wanna do the park all day, the backcountry there usually isnt too great anyway.
 
how could you get bored skiing E Chair all day, or just head over to A Basin and hit up pali all day, never an excuse for just skiing park.
