Portland to Hood transportation

I need urgent help, please respond if you can help in any way.

I got royally fucked over by plane tickets and fees and all to go to portland. Now I need to get from the airport to hood. The rental car will be retardedly expensive.

I need to know if its at all possible to take the taxi to hood and hitchhike to the mountain in the morning. I am going there alone and have no contacts really at this point.

Or also maybee someone is crazy enough to pick me up from portland on the 22nd and I could pay him like 100$

Anyone know what the taxi price would be?
 
bring touring gear and just skin from the airport to hood. /problem solved.

As rediculous as it sounds, look into rental cars and ask for certain discounts. For example, we got AAA discount, and a Cisco systems discount. For 5-6 days in CO, we got a 2011 escape for 200 bucks or so. Oh and BTW, i dont have AAA or work for Cisco. They just never check.
 
I remember there being a few people at the airport offering shuttles to Govy for relatively cheap. I would think that given the number of people doing the same thing you would be able to hook up a ride without renting a car.
 
Red line max to gateway transit center, then Gresham via blue line. Bus from there will get you as far as Sandy, you'll have to hitch from there. It helps if you are out on the road early to catch other skiers on the way up, and try not to look like you may smell bad.
 
When I went to hood, a kid walked right up to us and said he'd give us a 30 rack if we drove him to hood. Pretty hard deal to turn down and skiers/ boarders are pretty easy to spot in the airport
