Portland State skiers...

yea, pcc rock creek. i just moved out here about 2 weeks ago from new hampshire. i do not know anyone around here so if anyone feels like showing me around sometime or hangin out im open to meet knew people.
 
yeah you should come kick it in the city, ill show you what i know haha. where in NH did you come from? i know kids from plymouth
 
awsome, im from newbury nh about 5 miles from Lake Sunapee and Mt Sunapee. The lakes region is the best part of the state in my opinion besides the white mountians. i also know a few people that go to plymouth, its nice up there. If plymouth offered the courses i was looking for that would probably would have been my choice.
 
If you want to go to school right downtown its a good choice, kind of far from skiing depending on what ur used to. Its a sick school though, i would highly recommend it.
 
Info about the school: Its easy to get into and the classes are easy. it has 30,000 students, making it the largest school in oregon. it is a 65% commuter school, so most people do not live on campus. campus is located right downtown on park and mill, which is a badass location. most of the students are older, and have trasfered from other colleges. many coffe drinking liberals who ride around on fixed gear bikes with mustaches and tight pants. overall, its a great school.
 
^ sounds sick. do lots of people make the drive out to hood on weekends? its only about an hour and a half right?
 
yea whats that all about? i want in.. you can take "skiing" at pcc for the price of one credit and its basically a free ride up to the mountain every sunday for 10 weeks or so.. you can get a discounted 10x pass if you dont have a season pass.
 
i guess its through portland state so i dont know if they let PCC kids on or not. but ill do some research and let u know.
 
ya its about an hr to hr 15 min depending on how fast you drive haha...

this is my 5th year at PSU ill be done in spring...i dont know any skiers in PSU only snowboarders..and i plan on going up every weekend so if ya want a ride let me know..
 
haha, that part at the bottom is me! haha. but i'm legit cuz my freinds all are like traveling bikers who go up to seattle to ride with cadence and shit. so i feel ok about myself. but im selling my fixed. but yeah. i go too PCC anyone looking to carpool up mid week? fridays preferably. but anytime come winter term.
 
For those of you who go to PCC and haven't already said, which campus are you at? I go to PCC Sylvania and don't know any other skiers here yet. What part of the Portland area do you guys live in? I'm in King City, so I have a little farther to go.

ps: I'm already sick of classes.
 
heya, i go to slyvania too.. i dono where king city is. but im out n e burnside and it takes for fuckin ever to get to pcc land. and i only moved to portland about a year ago and have yet to meet many skiers. just one in fact. who got hella burned out on skiing cause his dad hella pushed him into it as a youngin so he never went up. anyways. im planning on being on mt. hood as much as possible this season... SO.. yea, if your lookin for someoine to go skiing with, or just smoke a blunt with. hit me up.
 
Word, hell yeah. When do you have classes? I live in SW, so opposite side, haha. Isn't there a NE campus? I just moved here a few months ago, so I haven't met skiers at this school yet, so we'll see.
 
ya there is a ne campus but its sort of lamee, but most of the classes one needs are at sylv..   anyway.. i got class from 9 am to 1 on tuesdays and thr=ursdays and 11 to 3 on m and w.  pretty chill.  im planning on taking as little class as poss though during winter, and am looking to go to meadows as much as poss.  are you gonna get a season pass?
 
Awesome, I have classes from 730am-950pm MW, 9am-450pm Tues Thurs, and 730-920am on Fri. So lame. I'm not getting a season pass yet because I have yet to grow the balls to go back to my knee doc to see if I need surgery or not (he said 99% chance I will), so... as soon as I do that, it's either a definite yes or no. I should know within the next couple of weeks. If you ever want to hang out sometime, let me know. I messaged you my cell number, and of course, we'll shred together this winter!
 
Umm, let's see... King City is basically part of Tigard. I live right off of 99W between Tigard and Tualitan if that helps? Sorry, I'm not completely familiar with P-town yet, haha. By the way, Triple Threat was epic!
 
yeah, i go to sylvania and live in SW. no one shares class times. anyone else not taking classes in winter to ski???
 
i'm just gonna take 2 days a week.. and otherwise hoping to get up there as much as possible.  im gonna take this "skiing"class from pcc to, cause its the cost of one credit, and its basically a free ride to meadows every sunday.. you dont have to stay qith the class.. and if yo dont have a season pass i think you get the 10x thing at a discount.
 
i live in se in brooklyn, near powell and 17th st.

my classes at psu right now is tues 640 to 8:30 pm thr 4 to 8:30 pm and i work from 8 to 5 m to f but friday i get off at 4:30. i am thinking on pow pow weekend imma go up friday night and ski then stay up there and sleep in my car wake up and go up again from open to close and maybe again on sunday if im not tired

anyways im gonna crash i just got back from vegas...
 
Actually I live in Portland, OR which is not the wrong portland (there is no portland in New Hampshire) and if you read the the post, "where in NH did you come from? i know kids from plymouth" you would understand that I was refering to Plymouth State University.
 
ahh the friendships created by marijuana. i didnt make it up, but i was gunna try and go up this saturday if they are still running lifts on the weekends.
 
Damn that's sweet, I was hoping PSU would have some phys ed skiing class too.

I am almost definitely going to timberline (or maybe skibowl if we are REALLY lucky) on Sunday, if you are interested there will probably be room but I would still have to check with my ride. Let me know!

since its powder, lots of it so im going tomorrow, friday, sat, sun, and monday. im going by myself tomorrow and monday so if anyone is going let me know...
