Portland Maine, Area Urban

Probably going to do some urban tomorrow in portland, what would be the best place to stop first?I was thinking deering oaks, but i'd love other suggestions

If someone's in the city anytime soon setting up a rail hit me up I'd love to get in on the action/film depending on what rail it is. The snow should be lingering around for quite sometime because the weather isn't projected to get above freezing for at least a week.

Added a few spots in Biddo/Kbunk, I'm sure there's loads in Biddo but haven't really scoped it yet

Summer=Scoping season

Let's see some new spots guys!

~100 footer in front of Ben and Jerry's in Kennebunkport

Last pic is what the top of the rail is shaped like.

Very mellow flat-down in front of KPort town offices

715062.jpeg715064.jpeg715065.jpeg

Next up is a fairly mellow FDFD kinda donkey dick in front of the Biddo YMCA. Looks prime but sort of short for the amount of kinks.

Last spot is right near the previous one, not sure the street but its at some electrical supply company.

Bonus pic: Eastern prom swing sets (there are two beside eachother) as mentioned earlier in the thread.

Alright so I've started a google map project whatever thing, and am adding spots to it. Lets try and build a decent archive!
https://mapsengine.google.com/map/edit?mid=zVfGHOH8i_WE.kEk-KjqperGs

I apologize if someone already posted stuff about this but two prime areas I found were the middle of Deering High School, there are a lot of thicker tube rails from what I can remember with decent inruns. Bungee probably needed. Other jackpot is USM in Gorham (my hometown). The campus is on a boner of a hill so everything is sideways creating tons of down and kink'd rails. If anyone ends up hitting this up this winter hit me up and I'll show you all the best spots. Also Jamie nice name tell your parents great job

So, I've been compiling a master list for this thread along with pics, so if anyone has locations or pics for these rails, I'm going on a huge scoping mission in the greater Portland area before winter. Obviously, if the address is given I don't need it, but I'll be posting up a link to the list and putting any spots not already on the Google map on there. Gettin stoked!

Camden Waterfront Park Down Rail

Falmouth 86 Allen Avenue Closeout to 10 ft Drop

Falmouth Elementary 60 ft C-Rail

Falmouth Elementary Down Rail

Farmington Ed Center DFD

Freeport Bow Street Market Nice DFD

Gorham Fire Dept/Church? 60 ft C-Rail

I also saw the Freeskier cover and was like what the fuck, I've seen this before. I checked the insta comments tonight and some of you bastards also recognized it but if you haven't seen it.

Little Somalia aka Little Québec aka the A of L/A....yeah it's just Lewiston.

Anyone know of any concrete Ledges around Portland? There's a waterfall ledge at 98 India St, but I really want to find some more for this winter. Going on a scoping mission Sat, so if you have any new rails in the Portland area I'd love to see them.

In the vicinity of 261 Valley Street theres a dope brick waterfall ledge. You'd have to have some balls to step to it but its def doable

Damn that thing looks sick, what's up with the rail behind it though? Just checked out an ill DFD ledge thing on Union Street, but there was one really big concrete DFD that was set back in the front of a building somewhere in the vicinity of the movie theater on Temple Street. I was headed from Temple St to the Casco Bay Bridge when I saw it but now I can't find it on Google maps, even though I'm sure it would be visible.

Looks like its almost time to revive this thread boys! Snow seems to be on the way over the next 2 days, maybe an urban trip is in order!

Fort Foster in Kittery has some solid points, including the fort itself. Its almost zero chance of getting kicked out since the park is closed in the winter

If you're willing to risk it, Berwick Academy in South Berwick is handrails on handrails, just a lot higher chance of getting booted.

Eliot Elemtary has two out front and one feature in the playground that could be sick but the school is across from the police department.

Going to do some more scouting around here too, I'm a bit south from the rest of you but I figure there's got to be some other kids around.

Anything longer than 20 feet? Anything kinked? Sounds intriguing.

Looking for stuff up near Bethel to hit since there's no snow in Portland yet. Anyone have some ideas?

Gould down rail

powerplant down rail (hunts corna road). there's also the most perfect down rail that is fenced in, and its pry a felony if you get caught back there

victorian elbow (main st + elm) *actually, can someone confirm that this rail is still there?

mtn valley baseball field rail (perfect learner)

credit union rail in mexico

I'm not sure how much snow there is up there right now, but in HS we built a snowbank gap in front of the Mill Hill townhouses, but we just couldnt get enough speed to hit it at the time.

Just imagine a huge snowbank take off at the top, and then a snow bank landing at the bottom.

Sick, thanks man! The Victoria elbow looks prime and the Gould and Rumford baseball rails are classic. Is the credit union rail worth hitting, or is it really short? Also, where's the rail on Hunt's Corner road? I couldn't find it. Might give the Victoria rail a go this weekend!

Yeah credit union rail is short and steep. It is lit really well though, and could also work for a stair drop.

Theres another rail up on the hill in downtown mexico, I forget where exactly but I'll try to find it. I think its behind the elementary school up there.

Hunts corner rail:https://www.google.com/maps/place/Hunts+Corner+Rd,+Maine/@44.2557057,-70.7246058,3a,75y,26.65h,86.09t/data=!3m4!1e1!3m2!1sUMJVHzpNnBOWSFrtupKGkw!2e0!4m2!3m1!1s0x4cb3c9943aa072f3:0xb84c940fa7cada72

When we did it we had to pretty much side on, but im sure if you kiddos got creative it'd be fun. If you go north a couple telephone poles and look back into the plant you can see the big rail. its soooo perfect.

haha occasionally I drive through Hunts Corner Road instead of 35 on my way to the mtn been peeping that rail for a few years now do you know if its been confirmed hit? I thought no one else knew about it considering theres never anyone on that road lol

At the cape Elizabeth high school there is multiple features one perfect down rail and a hudge hill with an electric box at the bottom perfect for jibing and a huge hip that would need a tow in by a car or winch
