Porters Tahoe - What a great ass shop and why

Squeaky wheel getz ALOT of grease shoud really be the title of this thread. Why? I got bros that work at most all the shops in the area and the one that works at Porters told me that Chapman (the owner) found out about this today. The A2theWK dude got more than just his international shipping (over $100 I was told) for free now. His hole order (like $400) is FREE now. Nice xmas or hannukah (however you spell that shit) or kwanza or whatever your religion dude. Sure they f'd up (and I heard one of the guys in the shipping dept had like two close relatives die in a week? dad and grandfather? not exactly sure but I heard that it f'd up there deal for awhile) but this is why I say that my homies at Porters run a great shop. 3 binders, 3 wide breaks, shipped to Germany for free? I'm serious. If you have any f-ups, just ask to get a hold of Chapman. That boy will make it right...
 
and so can too many burritos at T's be a mean bitch cuz they go right to a girls butt but I gotta eat one at least once a week....yummm Sorrry, just too stoned to think of anything else at the moment
 
Word. As long as the kid told us the entire truth about the story, five weeks is inexcusable. Period. end of story.

When you're running a web based customer service sales business, compounded by dealing with running several sotrefronts operations, international customers, credit card transactions, etc, you aren't allowed excuses like "my friend died," "our web order guy is out sick," "our credit card terminal went down...." You just aren't.
 
pissed yes, but the info I got was that he was told it would be a little bit for his first phone order, then he called back and changed the order, then he added wide breaks, then he wouldn't give his email for tracking, then the dude who was supposed to be working on this went to two funerals in a week for dad and grandfather I was told. the point? granted, they f'd up but they more than made it right in the end. just take a big hit and chill ya'll.....and oh yeah....I'm serious, ask for Chapman if you've got an issue.....he's more than once taken good care of me
 
bottom line......the company admits they messed up and they are making up for it. If you ask me, thats good business, you admit you messed up and take care of the person. Nice work on the companys behalf. Sounds like a good company to deal with.
 
its not good to plug a shop and then say you're stoned in the same thread...........

makes people think his order wasn't shipped cause you were all stoned

its awesome you guys made amends and accepted that you messed up an order

but at the same time thats not "great ass shop" thats a decent business practice

its not awesome it took him 4/5 weeks to find out wtf is going on

its not awesome he used NS to rant over a shipping mess up because he couldn't reach you guys.......

its not awesome you needed to make a thread making you seem like a hero cause you f'd up an order and did something decent to correct it

deaths are highly unfortunate.... but alot of people run porters

my sympathies to who evers death it was
 
dollar - word, agreed in general, but the other part I was told was that they don't even currently do international shipping and told the dude that but they were trying to get him what he wanted when the dude who was supposed to be taking care of it left. but agreed, someone else shoulda picked up the ball and ran with it....just saying that their are always two sides to a story....bottom line the dude's got $500 worth of shit free.......hell, I wish it happened to me
 
man your giving him bad karma because he had a legitamite complaint? its not like he wanted them to fuck up his order. im sure hes very thankfull now. bad karma for you.
 
um usually not.....I'm alwasy cold.....especially on my tootsies.....but when I get out of a fake 'n bake session I'm pretty steamy......:)
 
agreed.....two wrongs don't make a right and callin' him a lil bitch ain't cool...why the fuck don't more people smoke more weed???

plus i didnt read there were conflicting stories and what not

thats ok...its all cool.....and its even more cool that I got my burrito finally! (too bad T's closes early and I had to get it at tacohell but oh well?) :)
 
that's sick. but I dont think that kid should get hated on for wanting shit that he paid for... I mean when you buy something it's reasonable to expect to get it... solid recovery for porters though.
