Love Portal 2. Very funny as well (stephen merchant voice over).

Hope theres a johnathan coultan song at the end credits, but havent got there yet.
 
Yuck, why would you ever Google the answer to the game, that takes the fun out of it! I paid $40 to be challenged by a good puzzle, not to whiz through the game because I know all the answers :S
 
Oh come on man... Portal wasn't that hard. Sure, there were some levels you didn't figure out immediately, but the whole campaign wasn't longer than 2 and a half hours. Getting all the achievements, though, is something I never did do.
 
I like the multiplayer much more than single player. There is more strategy to it. Has anyone beaten it/know how many levels there are?
 
video games are gay, disregard jibbin and gnarshmallow. If i were to respect any video game It would be COD4, COD mw2.
 
Ah, just finished the single player, amazing once again.

Haven't laughed this much while playing since...well, Portal.

By the way, how long did it take you to finish? Some people are claiming under 4 hours (!) and people at Valve are calling bluff as it takes even the designers around 6 hours.

I probably was around 8 or 9 hours, some of those travels BETWEEN the gel chambers took me a long time to figure out.
 
Great game. It is a nice change of pace from COD. Reminds me I have cognitive thinking skills. Plus I actually like skiing, so I have no time to be good at COD like school children do.

What a game! What A GAME.

9/10 but onyl because I was expecting some OUTRAGEOUSLY difficult puzzles that would have included every single element introduced in the game i.e. light bridges, every gel, floaty ways, bouncing pads etc.

But I have never...ever...in any media, book, movie, game...

Been as thrilled and in awe as in the beginning of Chapter 9

you know what I'm talking about, that was just mind-blowingly well done both narratively and in regards to breaking the 4th wall...better yet, assfucking the 4th wall.
 
Don't know what everyone likes about it, i found it soo boring. I waited for so many levels thinking something kinda exciting was gonna happen but its just doing puzzles all the time, not a fan
 
chapter 9 will blow your mind its worth it btw i beat the game without looking anything up /claim
 
Agreed... except on the complexity bit. There are more objects and 'tools' but overall I would say that the puzzles in the second game are far more obvious.

I enjoyed the first one more simply because they weren't catering to the mainstream gaming audience. Portal 2 = more mainstream = tailored for casual gamer = too easy.

You should like it even more, after all, it is the female version of an fps:

1. The main character is female.

2. The main villain is female.

3. Your only weapon is a gun that shoots...Vaginas--I mean, space-time tunnel apertures.

4. The game is based around evasion and manipulation instead of confrontation and domination.

5. The turrets. They are the exact opposite of a parody of everything women supposedly hate about regular shooting games. Violence, profanity, blood, evil symbolism, chauvinism...the turrets are always polite and apologize even if you kill them. Because everyone is nice in a woman's world.

6. Just like actual women, the main villain (GLaDOS) is actually powerless to physically do anything to you. The only weapon GLaDOS has is emotional manipulation. Just like women.

7. The company is called Aperture Science and women have an aperture between their legs.

8. The game starts and ends with a cute song instead of a bunch of dead people.

9. The game promises you a reward at the end if you jump through a lot of hoops, and it turns out to be a GREAT BIG FUCKING LIE, YOU STUPID WHORE YOU FUCKING USED ME, ROT IN HELL YOU WORTHLESS CUNT

Finally...

10. Your only weapon is a gun that shoots vaginas.
 
I am honestly a wizard at Portal. I find the game to be very stupid and I don't own it, but whenever my friend gets stuck on a level he calls me over and I can beat any level in a matter of minutes. Portal just comes very easy to me.
 
ok. dipshit first off someone had to beat it to riht the shit down for other dumbasses to look it up. and second i have multiple witnesses to me beating this game without using google.
 
I beat it without Google as well. It took a long time for some of the puzzles, but I found if I took a break and came back all the sudden it would click. Why would you look up the answers on Google? It would take the satisfaction out of beating the harder puzzles.
