Portable drop-in plans

i built a portable drop in for urban and stuff a while back, and it lasted one hit, then broke. does anybody know a website, thread, forum, or anything that has plans as to how to build a sturdy drop in? or if you know, could you post here? ive built a bunch of skate ramps, and im sure i could figure this out, but are there any secrets to it that make it real stable? like angled out back legs or anything? any help would be appreciated

blahblahblah

Triangle are stronger than squares. have cross beams that got like from the top of one part, to across and down on the other. how did you last one break?

I am working on making something like a roller system (the line article about it inspired me). it should eliminate the need for a drop in. problem is making it cheap and workable, because the one used by the kids on the line site was something they found laying around (scraped converyor belt or something like that).

^ya you do

and a better jump would help too cause those plastic ones are pieces of shit and they move really easily.

Im gona make my drop in with 4 rotatable wheels on the side, so when its standing up its facing the back and if i wana transport it, I just flip it over onto the wheels and wheel it away

dude 2x4's plywood nails. use these materials to create a wieght bearing structure of about six feet tall and what ever ramp angle you like. not that hard you just have to be smarter than the wood your using.

HEINE TOOLS makes a metal drop in ramp that collapses down and fits in a snowboard travel bag...

All I need are some tasty waves, a cool buzz and I'm fine.

mintcrue hook me up with that cult invite

and i gotta see a link or pic to that snowboard bag drop in

that is KEY

anything that doesnt require snow i need....because i barely get any...even in winter...and no ice rink for about 25-35 miles from my house

well my woodworking skills arent the problem, ive built halfpipes, quarterpipes, etc...for skating and such. but building a dropin made of wood that can possibly collapse a little bit, yet give you enough speed, and withstand the forces of a skier pushing off the top is a bit tricky. i was just wondering if anybody had built something like this and if they had any pointers. i was thinking about using door hinges for the top so that the ramp can fold back

blahblahblah

i like the last pic posted the drop in goes right into a barn. smooth

i put some wooden supports on that arent shown in the pic. but im very happy how it turned out, the whole thing collapses and it is very sturdy

to get one of those go check out the back of grocery stores, they allways have them chained up in the back for unloading the trucks, just sneak back there with a hack saw and cut the chain. Some stores dont have them tho and u have to be fast/stelthy
