alright, so being that its getting close to the season, for me atleast, i have been looking in to buying some twin tips. now i've heard about how some of you guys like libertys and surface skis but how do they compare to some of the more well known twins like the ones that k2 and salomon twins. i havent ever seen any one at any of the resorts ive been to around me that has people skiing on the liberty and surface skis. so wats the diff?

Go Armada.

Sorry, that didn't really answer your question. I've never skied on Surface or Liberty skis so I could not give you an opinion. However, I do know that I absolutely love my Armadas.

well i do know that liberty skis suck the wang. everyone i know who has them has broken them very soon after purchasing them and regrets getting them.

armadas are nice, and im lovin my dynastars, i dont like libertys that much, and ive never ridden surface, id say go with armada

you shoudl have no opinion o fliberty of surface unless you've skiied them yourself. if your friends have its somewhat valid, but what wer your friends doing to them?

liberty skis are deff stiffer. if ur looking for a soft ski go with scratches. i here public enemys are soft...dont quote me on it though

alright, well i was thinking about armadas but one of the kids on the ski team has a pair (their pink, sweet) and hes had them for two years and we will be skiing when we stop at the terrain park, he can take his edge off. im not really sure how to explain it but parts of it will come off about 1-4 inches at a time. is that from rails?or is that wat happens after 2 yrs?

Don't quote me on this, but I was told that this years' Armadas are constructed way better than they were before.

The Pink Armadas are the ARV's from two years ago, and so it's possible that it's mostly from being abused for that long, but the construction also wasn't as good back then. All skis are going to break eventually, but I've abused mine pretty good this year, and I haven't had any issues except for a few cosmetic chips in the topsheet, which doesn't affect how they ski.

You don't make any sense....

A company that trusts their skis (and the consumer) can put a 3 year warranty on their product. A company that doesn't trust their product, that knows it will eventually fail and the consumer will by another because they have a great pitch or great graphics will put a 1 year warranty on their product.

See they want you to buy a pair of skis each year... upgrade, move on to new style, etc. If you can keep replacing them under the warranty, you aren't making the company any money. You are in fact draining the company. And that is the way consumerism works.

SCracthes are a nice soft ski

What is everyone's opinions on the 1080s. Just figured i'd ask you people here since you all know a lot about skis. i've seens thema bunch on the mountain and in stores

I've yet to see a pair of liberties that weren't either on their way to broken, or broken to shit.

stowebum's pretty into the surface, pm him for a pretty biased opinion.

Yo get Armada Arvs. I just got myself a pair and they ride so nicely. They can also work everywhere. I ride them well in the park ad yesterday skied in a foot and a half of freshy with them.
