so what the hell exactly is popping? I know all of you take it for granted, but I'm a n00bster so I need to know. Whenever I try to hop up on a jump I start flailing in the air. What do you do exactly?

popping is when you sniff a popper and then your lil tiny asshole gets wwiiiidee open for a dick to get into it.Gay people use it.

Popping is also refered to skiing,but i don't know anything about skiing,so i can't answer your question.Wait,maybe i already did.

I changed my sig because someone thought it was too long,so that makes it a shorter sig,doesn't it?Maybe i should make it longer,maybe not,but who gives a fuck?Certainly not me,neither your mom,I like trees,because they grow apples,and I like apples as much as i like weed.

My conclusion is that we should all put some seeds under the ground in some hot country(like mine,where the heat is too hot to move 3 feet away from the swimming pool)and just let it grow,because when i get old i wanna get stoned,but in order to get high i need to improvise some techniques for the growth of pot.
 
you know how when you want to jump off something (without skis on) you compress your legs and then spring upward. also known as jumping. well, if you do this with skis on your feet it's called popping. hense without a pop you simply just take off with the vertical momentum given to you by the jump. not poppin is way sweet.

 
sit down on your tails like BK and then at the top of the lip extend your knees as fast as possible and straighten your whole body.

 
think of it like ollying on a skateboard. you start with your weight in the back, then spring up and out

yeah, just lean back on your tails and give a little hop. Like on bmx when u pull up and then push back down. Or on skateboard. Its basicly just an ollie

Ok, when POPING you DON'T lean back, I like to see you pop off a table leaning back and not land on your ass. All poping is, is compressing your knees and exploding upwards to get more lift of the kicker.

It depends on if you are talking about popping or doing an ollie

Doing an ollie is usually used to gain more air off lower stuff, like hopping rollers, or sometimes getting onto rails. You do this by, as explained before, transferring your weight on the tails of your skis, then somewhat jumping to get the spring back or 'pop' from your skis.

When you just regularly pop on the lip, you compress your legs, as if you are jumping without skis, then thrust upwards with a great amount of force when you reach the top of the lip.

Yeah you definatly don't lean back to pop, that's just a disaster waiting to happen. I hate explaining popping, it reminds me of when i skied moguls back in the day, which my coach constantly telling me to pop more...

...Anyway, popping is simply jumping in a fast, powerful movement. It's exactly the same as when you jump vertically off the floor without ski's on. As you go up the ramp/table/in run, stay central over the ski's and bend your knees, but not too much, then as you reach the lip, straighten your legs quickly, which initiates a jump, or 'pop'. There you go.

you pop alot in the pipe.. o, and dont pop unevenly, ive done that, and its no good... 1/4 lincoln loops just dont do it for me

On Tables, I usually pop forwards, like a nollie, cause if you try to ollie, if your timing is just a little off, you can send yourself into half a backflip.
