Pop ups on firefox?

i've been getting a few pop ups on firefox lately too.. mostly the ones that say theres a security alert

um there is no such thing as a pop up on foxfire.

never got one

for you guys, firefox cant dl wmv links right? on my computer it just loads a blank page. on my bros comp it refreshes the page. i have to have internet explorer open to watch half the vids on this site. =(

yeah pop ups exist on firefox. their due to spyware. if you dont have it yet get spybot search and destroy (totally free) http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

download-install-update-check for problems-imunize- and your done. no more pop ups. anytimes you see a pop up tun spybot and it will rid you of all pop ups until the people find new loopholes

I get pop-ups to. it get the same ones to even though i have pop up blocker on. These pop ups are always called Auroa. Anyone elese have that problem.

you broke the rules, now im gonna pull out all your pubic hairs.
 
i get pop ups from explorer and i dont use it either...but i use netscape

yeah I got the Aurora pop ups a while ago. they come with a program that you install. I couldnt get rid of them and eventually reformated. I figured out after reformating how to get rid of it though. so here it goes:

1- uninstall all silly programs you got. any utilities you downloaded for free delete them.

2- have AVG and Spybot Search and destroy (and have them up to date)

3-go into your java console (you should find it in control panel) and delete all files that java has in its cache (this is the most importatn thing)

4- run both avg and spybot search and destroy. first spybot then avg.

it should be gone after that. and just watch what you download becasue Aurora comes with a program that tells you "we will install Aurora on your system"
