Poor light HI blue vs yellow

With poor like conditions, is the difference in vision between HI Blue & HI Yellow comparable, or is it very minor?

Also, im looking for A Frames or Wisdoms, or if you have lenses for either feel free to offer as I can get frames elsewhere but I'd need another lense.

i think your thinking of the difference between hi yellow and hi persimmon. i believe they both have a blueish tint to them.

i havent tried both but my hi yellow lenses work extremely well at night, especially compared to the dark lenses i am used to using.

the hi yellow are the best for very flat light... but between the two there isn't too much of a difference. I've found the hi yellow gets way too bright in any type of sun while the pers (blue) is a bit more versatile.

HI blue and HI yellow are exactly the same thing, Oakley just renamed the lens from blue -> yellow.

HI persimmon and regular persimmon are different from HI blue/yellow and different from themselves. I find HI blue/yellow the absolute best for flat/low light, however HI persimmon to be a better overall lense (not blinding in sunlight).

and to those who may argue with me, HI persimmon may look blue, but is an orange lense with a blue-ish coating, and HI blue/yellow is a yellow lense with a blue-ish coating, which is where the confusion may arise.

Yeah he is right. You are probably thinking or blue iridium, but yeah there is no hi blue. Hi permission looks kinda blue.

oh and to answer the original question, if you really want a good low light go clear obviously, but otherwise hi permission or hi yellow are the best, they make everything visible with the ability to see most shadows like on the backside of a bump or mogul

g30 is much darker than hi persim. take a look at the oakley light tint transmission chart:

clear: 83%

hi yellow: 81%

hi persim: 63%

g30: 30%

True story. the HI persimmon is a versatile lense if you can only have one in the fact they wont blind you while still increasing low and flat light performance.
