Poor kids cars

86 ford mustang paid for it for my self.always a car i wanted saved up and just recetly bought it.

My dad got a deal on a '00 Tracker with 60K miles, for $3K. Slow as hell, but it's actually a fun, good looking car. Lifting it and fixing it up more this summer.

i dont resent people at who's parents buy them things such as cars. hell every one of my friends has a nice. i kinda like paying for all my stuff, it kinda gives me a sense of pride but also pissed off at my parents. but if your parents want to give you everything you want good for you, just appreciate it and dont be a bitch about it.

is it a 5.0? those are badass me and my dad looked at few but in the end he said he'd feel safer with me in a v6. so now im workin and savin so i can buy my own and he cant say shit.

it all depends on how much they spend... like, my parents bought me the car that i have as a graduation/birthday/thanks for getting good grades in high school thing... i pay for insurance and repairs and all that, but yea, some kids whos parents buy them cars are spoiled, others are not

in baby blue, it doesn't shift gears going up hills though which is a problem in san francisco when you go up the hills at 10mph. my dad said that if the car breaks again (cuz we've been through two head gaskets and a myriad of other problems) then he would buy the kids an impreza

right now im probably going to get to drive a 1989 gold 740 volvo, which is nice because volvos are tanks and they last forever, but i think the first car that im going to buy myself is going to be an oldsmobile cutlass ls wagon, with that wood panneling on the side, cause i want a wagon, and if i can find it with wood panneling it would be sweet

mine is black, has two wheels, handlebars, a seat, and a rat trap.

but if I did have an actual car it would also be covered in ski and band stickers

'95 Honda Civic. Been through 2 fences and several wheels. I'm too irresponsible to drive a nice car now anyways. I'll save that for when I'm less exuberant behind the wheel.

used to have a 92 mercedes 400E with like 109k miles. german cars are not ment to last long lol. the engine died on my dad 2 block from his office

mine is the same thing but green

not too shitty,

it has turbo and leather and can still hit 130

but it is just kind of old and wont start somtimtes

Nice honda accord up there, my first was a 88 accord and it was a beast. I killed the clutch, and when it finally went i had to drive it home like 30 miles through stops and lights in third gear, wouldn't go into 1st or 2nd at all.(Did you ever try and start off a standard from a stop in third gear?) Lets just say i did my best not to stop.

i love my car even though it kinda sucks. i just put mass stickers on it and make it look real sick. everyone knows i'm the kid who skis cuz i always have new sticks on the car and poles and skis in my trunk

should have fixed up the 535i for that money. you know that was the FASTEST car imported into the US of its time??? plus it is a BMW and if you got it running especially because its an 80s BMW, the thing would have been BOMBPROOF!

also, let me quote your origional post "should I get a beamer or a mercedes"

you had a bimmer (its not BEAMER!). and you got rid of it for a fucking toyota. should have fixed it up man.

by the way, while it is more then yours, my bimmer was only $5k. my parents helped me, but I spent more of my own money on it then you bought your car for:

in conclusion;

you should have fixed up your 535i. if you had put the money you spent on your POS toyota, you would have a car that would last atleast as long and probably be worth a hell of a lot more. plus it would be faster and nicer. stop complaining just because some people know more about cars so they have a nicer car then you even though it didnt cost them that much more.

like you wouldnt take the money if it was offered to you. give me a brake. Why would that piss you off? life isnt fair stop bitching. and again, you should have fixed up your 535i. those are nice cars!

my friend has a $300 mazda with a cracked radiator. he cant get a job because he cant drive it anywhere and his dumbass parents insist on living in the middle of nowhere.

your posting on a skiing website, so its safe to assume you ski. your fairly well off and have nothing to complain about.

thats cool dude. I still had to put over 3,000 into it. I had to have a new tank shipped to me from california for $700. then it wouldve cost $120 an hour to replace it. I had to totoally replace the brakes. The rotors were pitted. the brake lines were constantly bleeding. and the pads were worn down to nothing. I also had to replace the entire exhaust system. and parts for that old of a "bimmer" are expensive as fuck. so I sold the lemon to get it off my hands. I bought a car that ran and could get me from point a to point b with no problems. the body on my 535 was strong, but it has rust spots and the entire underside was rusted. before I bought it it sat for a year. I bought it for $200 but I couldnt afford to keep fixing it.

95 tercel. will be mine one day...only difference is ours is 2 doors, 4cylinder engine pumping 94 horse. its good on gas though and we havent had many problems with it. about 170 000km on it

hahahahahahahhahaha. they were nice cars. it was a lemon though. I prolly wouldnt take the money if it was given to me. that'd be really weird for my parents to do that. I dont really mind buying all my stuff myself. I could understand a birthday gift or a graduation present. but some of the cars these kids are getting are waaaay over the top.

I hear ya, but life is unfair.

and yea, probably not worth while to fix your 535i from the sound of things. although instead of ordering the tank from california, just go to a junk yard. $120/hr to work on a bimmer? they are not cheap to work on, but it should be closer to $70/hr...

in all honestly, you probably made the best decesion going with the corolla. you could have bought an older bimmer for the price that was in much better condition then that 535i but it would still probably be more $ to keep it running then the yota.

yeah dude. the only place I could find that had a tank for it was this warehouse in california. and theres 1 place in my town that will work on foreign cars that old.
