another terrible movie, props to mikes shots, as well as walkers...

but god damn they suck at putting together movies

dreb man, havent seen any new flicks this year, but looking at pickin somthing up here before daves set dave back to the wild party. any suggestions, also propoganda is still my fav movie man.

i bought idea. if you ski park and only park, your gonna think that the movie is slow and boring / better to watch after skiing.

but since i skied quite a bit of pow last year, it was sick.

i cant believe a editor edited a ski movie good?? it doesnt make sense

I've got Idea coming in the mail. I'm mainly stoked to see Yeah Dude to see mike's segment. And I'm sure there will be some epic shots in there too. But overall I'm not super stoked for it

Idea would have been cool if they had cut the shots without poles. However due to the abundence of no poles in the film it was pretty much a snowblading movie! remember snowblading with poles is cooler than skiing without poles!

remember that from what? Why don't you just pull some stuff out of your ass? Or how about you realise that if you are a good skier poles are useless. They're not skiing moguls are they? There would be nothing wrong with them using poles, but I can't see any reason why they should have to use them. Cause a bunch of people don't like it cause it's different? They're not used to the way it looks? Skiing can be much more fun without having poles in your hands.

First of all, go back to school and learn to spell. Then you could REALIZE that a smart, (maybe not good), skier would need their poles to go touring, access difficult lines and just generally look like a person instead of a gorilla when skiing around the mountain.

everyone knows Gorillas cant ski... their mangled feet hand combination would never fit into boots. and have you ever tried to dress a gorilla? oh, and they wouldnt use poles either... even to hike some perilous line. They would just climb up. Cuz theyre gorillas.

you NEED poles to ski most technical lines properly. If you're gonna ski no poles I don't give a shit, I just think it's a stupid thing to do in the backcountry.

I wouldn't go ski backcountry lines without poles but do want to explain to me why you NEED poles to ski most technical lines properly?

isnt it all preference in the park? like why the hell are we arguing about poles

it doesnt matter

we all know that you need poles/ it would be better to have them in the backcountry and just because you use them there doesnt mean that you need them in the park

the only thing i have to say is take off your pole straps if you ski backcountry because if it slides you can get stuck. I know of a guy that spent a whole night trying to get out of his pole straps luckily his head wasn't buried or he would be DEAD

you pretty much need them to pole plant, but I guess you don't NEED them to hop around. It'll just be alot harder on steep exposed lines and you'll look like an idiot. Ski all the lines you want without poles, I don't give a fuck, it's just a lot harder and unnecesary. And you can't use skins without poles and what happens when you get to flats. Everyone can ski no poles all they want, I encourage all of you to actually, you will be slower to get to the good spots and you will probably fall more which leaves more tracks for me.

just a question....who in general are we talking about....i thought it started off from the guys in idea riding with no poles. no ones saying anything about ski tech lines...in idea, they're just doing something that, hard to believe, has not been done wich is skiing with out poles and putting it in a movie. so unless u plan on going the same places that the idea crew go, i wouldnt get ur panties in a bunch...

you've got a point there.

Anyways I don't really have an opinion either way for poles vs. no poles. I was just debating to try and get people thinking about it a bit instead of just instantly saying "no poles is gay" But I'm done now
