anyone practise flips off the dive boards at the pool?

i dont have a tramp so would this be a good alternative or is it a bad idea to be landing bad onto water?

yeah when it comes to doing backflips if you can do them on a trampoline of diving board you should be able to do it on ski's if you pratice it seems. I cant even do it on a trampoline no idea why

i can cork 5 all 4 ways, and cork 7 reg. and switch. i can also do front's and 180 fronts. my 1 and a halfs are watery faceplants

I can do 3's into the pool (and back and front flips) but normally just end up doing a straight high dive (from high up obviously)...

We were at the pool today and some kid tried a double gainer and hit his head on the board, he split his head open and bled everywere in the pool. It sucked.

flips and ski tricks at the pool is so fun, going to calgary for a flips session at the pool tomorrow, so stoked!!!

It also helps to set the tension all the way up on the board so its stiffer and youll be able to take your tricks up better.

I can backflip, but fronts are definately the easiest because the spring of the board brings you about so quickly. Last summer, I learned a front with a 180 twist, so i landed backwards in the water. Is this a misty 1, or something else?

Hello !

I am using with some friends to usa a tramp that we put inclinated near the pool and we "land" tricks like flat5 or 7, and 9s.

i dont really no if its a good training way for skiing, but its damn fun :) (and obsviously, as NS boys said, it hurts as hell when you land on the back or bad landing...)

I could post a pics if you would of the "setup"

i accidentally did a 1 1/4 flip off a diving board and i couldn't breath well for about 10 minutes after that

so I wouldn't reccomend it

thanks man. I wouldn't have thought that you add degrees flipped and spun, but whatever. How hard would a lincoln loop be? Obviously on a board, not from a pool edge.

Lincolns are suuper easy. Just keep your eyes on a single spot and throw your whole body a way and grab your legs if needed.

I tried a double front off a little ass backyard pool diving board and landed upside down sideways and my ear was ringing for a good minute.

But I can do just Misty 5/7,lincoln, front, backflip(standing backwards), and maybe cork but I havent gotten to a big diving board yet.

i spent the whole afternoon yesterday with a bunch of bros at the pool and we were throwing down big stuff and not once did any of us hurt our backs that bad, but if you fuck up hard it does suck

There is a couple guys on this website who I go to the pool with sometimes who are very very good at diving board tricks. One of them can kangaroo flip the high dive, he also tried to double cork it, which didnt go well.

i'm scared shitless of high dives, if you land on anything but your feet, your done, it even hurts if you land on your feet just a little funny,

i mean unless your a 28 pound chinese girl who can do like 10 flips off one

it works, but mostly just for air sense. like i can do gainer doubles and front triples. but that doesnt mean that i can do those on skis

you get less jumps in than on a tramp, and hitting the board sucks balls. But anything that you do to get your air sense dialed in is going to help you on skis. Plus if you have a tall spring board you can do tricks closer to the size that you'd be doing them on skis.

Last year I did some minimal flips ie: Frontflips, corks.

This year, I'm going all out haha Misty, and other stuff like that.
