Pontoons

I was just wondering if anyone has tried the pontoons. i was thinking of buying them, but i love switch in the pow. and i dont know about the tail.

hellbents or sir francis bacon be better for sure

might wanna check out JP v J's, they have a higher tail for landing switch which may help for switch

The Jp Julien does have a huge tail but I don't find that they ski switch all that well. I mean they straightline switch pretty well but They are very straight and I personally feel like skis with a lot of sidecut ski switch better. That said I think fatties from K2 and Line would be your best bet (ie Bacon/lizzies, Seths/AKs/Hellbents)

Wow, no mention of the ARG.

IMO, this ski will end up being the best of the initial crop of reverse sidecut/reverse camber skis. The pontoon has promise, but out of the soft and deep, it just doesn't seem to do even just well enough to get back to the lift. The ARG on the other hand, does have a small section of regular sidecut underfoot that allows it (theoretically) to actually edge and somewhat carve/skid a turn, Plus they do have a rockered tail with a standard tip rocker at the end, making it good switch.

I ski the pontoon and it works pretty good landing switch in the pow. but because the tail is smaller than the waist its a little weird, if you are really into rockin the switch BC stuff get the hell bent it will be the best of both worlds
