hey ive never done pond skimming, but any pointers?? i will probalby be snowboarding because i can wakeboard, but i might ski instead. anyone have tips or tricks for either one?

yup this man knows. If anybody tells u to lean back they dont know what they are talking about. I have ton tons of pond skims and if you lean back you either tip over backwards or loose all ur speed.

You also need to jump into the water, you can't just ride into it otherwise you'll scruff and tumble on the water. Get as much air as possible between the snow and the water.

a technique i like you use is what i call the "best way to get across the pond technique" turn 90 degrees and lean a little forward.

it works every time

try using Pontoons, Thugs, Spatulas, Prophet 130s, Jak Teams, Goode Scoops or anything else fucking massive. and add fins to them.

ahaha, nose butter 1's give you extra brownie points, but if you revert onto your tails after the 1 going switch you almost have an automatic win

the most important thing is to get everybody near the pond wet, then it doesn't matter what you do

good to see that ns is always to provide solid advice for people in need. I thought since he was new everybody would give him bad advice. But the leaning fowards shit is actully solid advice.

yeah you have to make a jump onto the water. so you can get as much speed in the air as possible.

yeah i heard about that but i was at tuck for this years so i didnt get to see it. I tried it last year at burke but didnt make it.

the trick is to have one ski up in the front and the other up in the back...that way you just hover...its a secret jedi move

GO SLOW.

the faster you go the more the sidecut will dig down into the water.

if you go slow the effect fo the sidecut is minimized and float is increased.

just remember, water is not snow. its pretty much the opposite. so slow+lean forward=win

me posting in this thread is kinda pointless since all the good advice has been given out

basicly lean foward and try to flex your tips on the water going as slow as possible and you have a great sesh
