Polymer Science People

My skis are pretty beat up and I decided to refinish the top last year to see if I could eliminate some of the scratches n' such. I coated them with a thin layer of Polyester 2 part resin, the kind where you add Methylethylketoneperoxide (MEKP) to the liquid to the contents to harden the compound. Its commonly used for surfboards and hockey stick so i figured it would work. The stuff cracked though all along the ski probably due to the flex and cold so it looked like shit and I had to sand it off which was a pain.

Does anyone know of a clear polymer that I can use to coat the tops of my skis?

Where can I get it?

Tips?

...epoxy? Its the entire coat thats cracking, small dabs on the bad spots should be fine.

Its a ski, not a surgery suite, it doesnt have to be sparkling clean. Its all cosmetic.
