hey have any of you had to take a polygraph test for an employer? a job I'm looking into requires one and I'm wondering what types of questions they will ask. I'm mainly concerned about drug use questions. I smoke weed but will quit when with plenty of time to pass a drug screening, but will they ask if I've ever done hard drugs in the past? hmmm.
 
NO job is allowed BY LAW to give you a ploygraph test, unless you work for the government, job seems kinda shady, or youre lying

Well I'm a recruit for the Phoenix fire dept but may be moving to the Denver area and the Denver fire dept requires one.
 
Looks like you might have to smoke some weed to calm yourself and pass the test with out any problems.
 
well i'm not worried about the smoking weed part, i'll admit to them that i've "experimented" with marijuana but I've tried coke, acid and others that i don't want them to know about. If I straight up admit that I've tried harder drugs, I'm worried I'd be disqualified. I just wondered if anyone knows if that's a question they would ask.
 
my mom had to take one for her job. some guy had been stealing money out of company, and she got hella nervous and her heartrate spiked. but yea, she said she hates em, cus they thought she was stealing.
