POLO: The Next Big Fad in Skiing

So fucking what? What difference does it make? We're all skiers. Age shouldn't play a role in this at all. Go fuck yourself. Sorry I like to do research on skiing history in my spare time.

Cool. But still. Skiing should be about the skiing and ripping around the mountain with friends and having a good time. Not about what you are wearing.
 
actually its not. your probably saying that cuz you have bad style. why do people buy the stuff wallicsh and hornbeck wear? i will tell you right now it not cuz of the insulation and it being comfortable. it s cuz it looks ill.

under armor with a polo on top was where it was at about 6-7 years ago maybe more actually, use to wear them in highschool/middle school all the time

This 150%. I like to have a nice baller setup but when I'm on the slopes I couldn't care less how I look. And it seems like all the newschool kids are always questioning other people trendy items when I ski. I guess not everyone as the same love for skiing, its not a fashion show.
 
Well, I liked lighter colors like beige, so I bought beige clothes that looked good to me. Then I started to prefer darker colors, and bought a black jacket and brown pants. That's all the ski clothing I've ever bought.
 
no actually its because ppl think that to be accepted into the freestyle community you have to look like them. Chicken and egg thing-someone wears tall t's and has saga shit, pretty soon everybody wants to look like the 'good guy'. It's not because it just "looks ill" its because that's what the style happens to be at the time. If wallisch and hornbeck started to wear jorts and a cutoff in the summer people would too. Why do you think everybody bought "jordan" and now ppl buy lebron's shoes and shit?
 
I say the moustache will be big in 2010-2012 . You will see more and more back-country inspired clothings, like Arc'A'Teryx Tall T's with pow skirts. Kids with skins on their park skis and dukes for pipe lol. Disaster 630- Granola munch.
Oh and it looks like helmet cams, cause every stupid kid out there has one now.

I'm kind of confused as to what your mean, the whole point of freestyle anything is that it looks cool because it's different. Unfortunately if you want to do something cool, you gotta look cool, and if you ski in clothes that cover your body they will heavily influence the way you look and thus affect how "cool" you look.

Not just freestyle skiing though if that's what you're thinking..

Here is a picture of Bode Miller who skis GS in the olympics. Take a look at his suit, notice the colors and spiderweb patterns on his arms and legs? They're not there for streamlining or comfort, they're there to look good.

Essentially what I am getting at is no, I cannot remember a time where the way you looked had nothing to do with skiing and this is true in everything, the way things look are key to everything in life.

Basically what you're saying is that looks determine your gaper status. So when I get off work wearing a jacket and pants that fit me and I cruise through the park, no one will ever notice no matter what kind of tricks I do.

FYI last year at Mt. Snow I was at the drop for the last to jumps in inferno, at the time they were 50 and 55ft. This guy rolls up wearing one of the worst outfits I have ever seen on a beat ass pair of public enemies and threw a cork 10 to mute rodeo 7. Some gaper.
 
Fucking dumbass, dont talk if you dont know. That picture is from a slalom curse, not a GS, and the spyder webs and everything is because of the sponsor, SPYDER, and most of the spyder suits have spyder webs. And I´m pretty sure that bode miller couldn´t care less about his suit as long as he get paid.
