Pollards Self Edit 08

word ski movies abuse slow mos, and arent really creative with em, i still havent seen any of this years movies mabey they changed, but the way slo motion shots are used is ultra lame!! i wish spike joonze would make ski movie.

pollard is good, but i have seen him do all these same things in push/pull and hes gotta embrace park, i know its not his style but it allows alot of diversity especially with all the cool new stuff they do.

Yo no offense bro...I am going to assume you have never skied at Pollard's home mountains.

I have. Being out there, changes your perspective a bit. Its powder heaven. We had 800 plus inches there. Parks were buried, and kids were gobbling up pow so much.

At Mt. Hood last season, especially in January and February, you could ski pow almost every day 9 am to 10 pm if you had the time and money.

You go to meadows all day and then to ski bowl at night. It is nothing like the east coast or even other places out west. 859 inches of snow dude.. totally sick..

Three park crew skiers at Timberline, rocking hell bents on the job and in the park.Because sooo much pow. Pow landings, pow takeoffs, pow everything. pow heaven.

So please understand that having that much snow must have an effect on Pollard's style. Why would he be in the park (and i know he is in the park sometimes) when he can be hitting huge back country booters, dropping cliffs and shredding gnar gnar pow lines switch on his uber sick hellbents.

I think that's why people don't understand Pollard sometimes in terms of what he skis. Its because you don't understand his environment either. And I never did till I moved out there and experienced it for myself. It blows the east coast away in so many ways.

I just noticed you are in Cali. I haven't skied in Cali so I can't really say anything. I still think Hood is really unique in terms of snowfall and the fact that you have three resorts within twenty minutes of each other. I always thought that Pollard used to ski a lot of park and then slowly shifted to primarily back country..

incredible skiing and great looking line selection, but god awful music, I though my computer was dying, what the hell was that noise... oh man that just ruined and flow or smoothness in my opinion. just poor, poor judgement, volume off after halfway point made the edit much more pleasing.

haha ya I like reggae music but I found that song really annoying. I ussually like the music Pollard picks for his edits but ya...

the last two shots of the night skiing, best ever.

now if you all would excuse me i got to change my pants they got a little wet

i get kinda bored watching edits that are nothing but techy pretzle stuff (with bad rap). but this kinda stuff i could watch all day. backcountry freestyle is where its at!

what having my own opinions on style and music is wrong?

im not anti jibbing, i just prefer smooth simplicity over technicallity, id rather see someone just slide the friggin rail maby come off switch and do it smooth than do 630 on, five switchups and pretzle 630 out.

and theres ns members who are snowbaorders so what fucking ever, this isnt some elite cult.

who's gonna own those features/lines better?
this is not a debate about park vs. backcountry vs. natural features...
it's enjoyment of a fellow snow friend with skills and opportunity displaying his fun times.don't hate, appreciate.
i've been watching pollard since his no-poles 5 safety in Clay Pigeons last millennium. been awesome forever, glad to see him still killin it.

Spiritual. EP is the man. This is such a fresh edit. Such smooth style. I am going to see this band on Nov. 6 in Aspen. Groundation is great. I am getting those rockered Bacon skis too, they are rad.
