Its defintely not a flat 3. But I guess I just didn't know what to call it.
He throws it like a switch rode5 but never goes to all the way to forward. I guess switch lincoln then? Its not all the way sideways barrel roll style either.
well because what you are talking about his "upside down cab 5's" are actually sw rodeo 5's. And rodeo/flat are pretty close. So holding it to a 3 instead of 5 makes it more "flat" than "rodeo" which is always atleast a 540.
I agree it's not a switch flat 3, but the reasoning makes sense. I just don't know what the fuck to call it.
yeah i would say between switch front and switch loop. Also, from that angle, it makes it look more like a switch front, but I think if it was filmed from the front it would emphasize the off-axis more. A little hard to tell how far he goes.
Here is KarlF doing almost the exact same trick at :41 from the angle that I specified in response to eheath.

From the pollard angle, the trick looks like a switch front. But from karls follow cam angle you can see how he "should" go all the way around to regular again, but he brings it back to make a 360 degree rotation.
