fuck you man...you dont know shit......i met the team manager for anon last year at a comp, and i eventually signed with them.....the head of anon is SKIER he hasnever snowboarded and never will...he takes care of all the riders...skiers and boarders.....he cares alot about making anon happen in skiing! there is no reason why a goggle cant be for all riders! also, anon might be OWNED by burton, but they sure as hell arent run by them, the affiliation, means the funds to make quality products, and the people in charge have skiers in mind...not riders....also...by a few riders...do you mean michelle parker, ashley B. tj schiller..dash longe....banks gilberti.....and eric pollard....i would say thats a pretty damn solid group of riders for only being established in the skiing world for a year......and ya i ride for them so i might be biased....but seriously why hate on a qaulity product made with OUR sport in mind and run by someone who cares more about skiing

do you guys really wanna talk about hate between skiers and snowboarders? Really? Cuz I don't think many of you understand what skiing tried to do to snowboarding when it first came out.

Skiing tried to kill it.

That's right. Skiing had snowboarding banned from major resorts. When we finally let them on to play, we did it 'only on certain runs', and then built terrain parks as 'snowboarder ghettos', to keep them away from the 'real skiing action'. We fucked with their sport more than anyone can imagine.

Skiing's filthy attitude towards snowboarding, historically, is what is to blame for the 'hate' that sprouts today. Which, considering how 'we' hated them in the past, is minor.

We owe snowboarding just as much as they owe us. It's time to start appreciating.

i hate a lot of skiers and snowboarders. i think i dislike skiers a little more than snowboarders though. i can think of only a handfull of skiers that after riding up the lift with them, i didnt want to shove my pole through their sternum. it doesnt matter if you ski or board, if you suck, you suck. having a shitty attitude doesn't help much either. throughout highschool, my two favorite riding buddies were snowboarders. we didn't really think about it as mutual respect or any of that shit, we just gave props. im stoked tho because this year ill get to ride with some skiers that have some good skill.

i think that all skiers and snowboarders can agree that skiboarding is gay.

this thread wasnt even about a rivalry between skiing and snowboarding. it was the fact that a company with no interest in our sport(except for making money) wanted to jump into our market. this was proven wrong because supposedly the anon head dude skis and shit. nothing to do with ski?snowboard hatred. for all you people complaining about high cost of ski outerwear,its cause it actually works. sure it has a high mark up but goretex and goretex xcr and titanium and all those tecnologies actually repel water. most snowboard company clothing is equal to columbia shit(other than titanium). its all cheap beacuse it is below 10000 mm water proofing. that stuff is crap. nfa blows and the only burton taht works is ronin and its highest divisions. all those companies use lamenants which are cheap and shitty. youve got too pay for good stuff and skiers are willing to do that. most snowboarders are focussed on style so they dont care about technology. just like siver outerwear. its about style not function.

i know this is off topic but i just have to let this out. i know some people who are totally opposed to salomon, dynastar, oakley, rossi, and other big companies, but they are way pro anon, it doesn't make any sense, burton is sooooo big now they own so many SBing companies. they buy names just so nobody else can use them, sounds pretty big to me. ah that feels better

when will you realize that anon is a goggle company. thats it. they are owned by burton and that is why they have primarily sponsered snowboarders. if anon is a snowboard goggle then what is a ski goggle? can anybody tell me the difference? you shouldn't judge a company or product by there teams

^He's not on the Scott rider list in their ads in Freeze. It wouldn't make sense to randomly leave one of their biggest skiers out of their team line-up, plus it says he rides Anon goggles on his Line profile..it makes sense.

Damn, I remember everyone sportin' neon one-pieces inc'l boarders back in the late 80's, early 90's... I never skied at a hill that didn't allow boarders yet they never failed to hate skiers. If boarder-centric companies want to put some capital up to put some skiers on thier teams, well, they're doing the smart thing business wise. But I think in a boarders mind it just means the companies they've supported for being 'thiers' are selling out to the people they've been trying to distance themselves from for the last decade or so. I think if anything this kind of stuff is ushering in a new attitude between skiers and boarders, but it's just the beginning. Keep the skiers competing in the X-Games and we can bet that opinions in the mainstream will change too, and all of a sudden skiing will be accepted for what it is rather than what it was. I feel sorry for all of you who've had bad experiences with random skiers on the hill, but you should know that those guys are only a small percentage of skiers today, and growing smaller every season. Just look at Anon sponsoring Eric as a good sign for the future, I don't see him switching to snowboards ever.

Atlanta if you lived somewhere that it actually snowed you'd realize that the Amp lense is gods gift to skiing. When you ski in the NW it's cloudy and snowy/rainy a lot and a red lense makes it so you can see more than 10 feet infront of you.
