Yes Anon is owned and run by Burton. Why do you think it's in the Burton catalog. I think Burton is a bunch of hypocrits. They have been one of the companies that has always been very antiskiing and they use to fuel that fire a lot. Now they see that skiing is cool again and they want a piece of the action.

I havn't seen any older catalogues, nor too many old ads, but they havn't been running anything anti-skier the past few seasons. 10 years ago, skiing deserved getting made fun of.

ANONS are wack, I agree with Burton being hypocrtis. sp? Take a look at the new Burton catalog, it's got a snowboarder gapping a huge road gap possibly at PC, but the road he is gapping looks like a ski trail and there are a bunch of skiers that obviously suck on the trail and he is gapping over them. Dont tell me that they didn't do this on purpose. There needs to be some more skier only goggle companies, because Burton is getting to big, soon they will make skis.

i dont know if i am the only one but i dont want to see skiing become a huge trend like snowboarding. sure i want the sport to progress(and more than you may think) but snowboarding is just too far right now...well i think so maybe im wrong. i'd just like to see our sport become known but not a huge trend like snowboarding(i dont hate the sport)

If freeskiers bought into the snowboarding world buying goggles and jackets etc, then companies like Orage and Siver Cartel would be forced to lower their high prices...not to mention HH and The North Face etc, who are literally raping us. It's bad enough that we have to pay $600 for uncomfortable boots.

Alls I'm saying is that competition is good, and I am all about supporting the industry, but the reality is that I am a poor little 'B', and I don't want to spend $600 on the new Made'n AK's and then an equal $600 on a jacket and pant combo, you feel me?

That is just how I feel. For now I will but the $600 Made'n AK's and spend $400 or less on Holden's new ish that is just as waterproof and functional as anything else, but at a competitive price.

And anyone who thinks that Burton isn't anti-skiing take a look at some of their press releases - they're always ripping on skiing and ski companies. But I guess it doesn't matter - you guys are just lining up to give your $$ to a snowboard empire.
