Pollard on Marker?

Yeah I have the same binding which I've skied two seasons and they seem bomber. I use to blow up Salomons like it was my job but I haven't had any problems with the markers aside from the occasional prerelease and a bent break, which was totally my fault.

you think this is racer steeze?

Because the Duke is a bomber freeride binding with a touring feature, why not - it is such a sick setup

They use them because they are cheap and it is easy to switch out parts on them.  I saw at least a hundred broken bindinds in the rental shop last year.  Salomon rental bindings give them a run for their money on shittiness though.

markers race stock gear is also bomber, thus why such a massive proportion of racers continue to use them

Who cares what they look like, you should care about how ridiculously light they are and how well they hold you on your skis going up to a 16 din.

i got jesters on my new lizzies. such a light setup! so stoked. no complaints so far. i'm stooked on my setup. i'll let you know about any problems with the jesters.

Haven't had any problems with marker comp 20s

Their low end models probably suck, but low-end anything usually sucks.

Their freeride bindings have been notoriously touchy over the years.

And today I witnessed a homie blowup his Jesters on something so minuscule. Plastic plastic plastic...

I'd love to try out the Jester/Duke. My only experience with Markers was a negative experience a few years back. they were not a good freeskiing binding before. Great for racing and casual skiing, but they did not take kindly to the stress and forces of freeskiing.

thanks for letting me know. im going to go take my dukes back to the rep. Who knows what might have happend if you didnt post that

I unfortunatley have a pair of marker pants. My mom got them for me for christmas last year. She also managed to get me marker bindings on my skis. Thats what I get for telling her to go to the shop that has nothing but marker bindings.
