Pollard on Marker?

i think marker is owned by volkl or at least it used to be, anyway marker bindings suck, in many cases i;ve seen from riders in europe using them they all broke ;em in less than a month

i like salomon/atomic best

Well technically, yes - Jardin (NYSE:JAH - cool ticker symbol) acquired the formerly public entity K2 Sports in August 2007. The K2 Sports website lists Line (among other companies) among the subsidiaries.

um ok but point of the story marker bindings suck hard and eric pollard is suddenly riding for them.

too bad for him, the look/rossi bindings seem to be the only ones that work right.

So someone on TGR just said that Pep just signed with Line as well, anyone with more info?

And yes we all know that Markers have always sucked, so what did they do, they completely changed their binding, and so far the Duke and Jester have gotten amazing reviews, time and abuse will tell though right?

I just ordered a Duke to put on my EP Pro, i will beat the shit out of them, and let you all know how they hold up. The touring feature with a bomber binding may have many BC avid pro's switching over. I expect to see Salomon, Rossi Look put out something similar next year.

I read that too, but haven't seen it anywhere else.

Either way, who cares, use the bindings you like. That is all that matters.

based on what? ive been riding the dukes for the last few weeks and they've already proved to be more sold then my look bindings

K2 are still due to release the new 95mm waist Fujative next year though? Wierd, unless they don't market it as a promodel..

based on the fact that look bindings have never really failed anyone i've ever talked to. based on the fact that look has been on top for quite some time (more than just a few weeks) with the p12.

Word. I've only skied them a few times and they always felt sloppy. People need to get out of the look cult and think for themselves.

pep with line? he's been with k2 so long though! not that it matters, i just hope he gets input like pollard does.

This was the quote from the TGR thread:

njfreeskier

"supposedly pollard and pep(just signed with line)

are riding and doing r&d this year on this new ski that is supposed

to revolutionize pow skiing. i don't know about you but i'm hoping for

a rockered prophet 130, or a stiffer, rockered bacon. they haven't done

any reverse sidecut and i don't think they're going to. any thoughts on

possibilities for line's new uber-ski?"

No one every said anything else, so I would say don't go around spreading because as of now, there is no real evidence that it is true.

I figured if line had already gone through the process of completely signing Pep a lot more people would know about it...

let us know how touring with the ep pro is. that is a fucking soft ski. im interested to see what kind of traction a rockered super soft ski has with skins.

Marker makes shitty bindings (IMO), but I haven't ridden the new ones yet. Still, Look is my favorite.

Dude I can't even tell you how much I prefer my markers to my old looks. It got incredibly painful poping out of my bindings every time I hit the ground no matter how perfectly I landed

I love how so many people think they know SOOO much about bindings, lol. its comical. The top end markers are gonna be as good as the best looks or salmons. And hate to break it to you guys, I am fairly sure marker is the second largest producer of bindings. Basically every rental ski in the world, and everyone in Europe uses markers. And they use them for a reason.

before this year, top end markers sucked. I had a pair of marker free 12.0 or whatever because they were their best model and i got them cheap. They broke after a week and a half.

again, you obviously don't know bindings. That is not markers top binding, and was not. not saying you did not have a bad experience with them, but that can happen with any binding.

yeah thats for sure... although it would be really cool though, imagine they sign pep and then go for mahre... line team: pep, mahre & pollard... yikes!
