I agree that it looks like he may not have held it that long it's still a sick picture, pretty old though
 
I was never really a huge fan of pollard but i dont know why, hes amazing, you guys peep the backcountry hit where he zero spins first hit then rightside sw rodeo!?!? damn
 
yes, that's what i remember. i got that issue of axis and saw that picture and it is burned in my mind. right then and there i decided i wanted to be a freeskier. that is the single most influential ski picture i have ever come across.
 
That was the first nose press ever and it was a while ago, that's why Pollard is an alien from the future. And he held that for a while. He slid that whole rainbow and come off switch.
 
pollard is so far ahead of everyone its incredible...look at what he was doing way back in the day, its what you see iders pulling now...

and about that press and my comment on it, what i ment is that he just jumpd beside it and just tapped his nose on the top...but i could care less because its a wiked pimpin shot
 
He pwns them. I was up in the park at hood with windells coach griffin and him last spring ridin and he was putting some sick ones down on the boxes.
 
i remember that photo it was in one of the old axis mags, i remember seeing that for the first time and dropping my jaw. it was the first of its kind i beleive, soo hardcore.

Bottomline...Eric Pollard has changed skiing far more than any other single individual.

also in that axis is a nasty pic of skogen doing a 5 in an indoor terrain park. i remember that axis vivdly, but i cant find it. ive been reading the one with pep and tanner on the cover over and over again
 
what about mikeal? seems like hes been doing presses the longest or as long. that pic is sick but presses have come so far. his arms are in weird position. when i do em i lean my torso over.
 
Russel's is ridiculous... but that old B&W one is ugggggly. Get your arms down.
 
wasnt the pic in the indoor, skogen doing a 180. they had that 180 comp and some japanese kid tried to show off and do a rodeo and ate shit?

i remember showing that nosepress to all my snowboard friends and being like "stick that in your pipe and smoke it BITCH"
