so im watching the Volume VM issue 1 "crank it" and its full of guys hucking ugly backflips and front flips with lui kangs and bullshit like that. and cr johnson sliding rails with his hands straight up and feet together. anyways pollard comes on and he is sliding rails to FS and BS 270 out with a widestance and low hands and doing sick rodeo 5 inside safties with mad steeze. pollard is the shit!!!!

well I have no clue what you guys are talking about because I started getting serious about skiing around the Propaganda era, which is mainly what got me into freestyle. anything before that I didn't really care. Los Alamos was sick though.

I live in a place far far away, where on occasion the telly tubbies will come to play....and that's when Ma gets out the shotgun. Damn critters climb in our gutter system all the time.
 
You're right, some of Pollard's early footage is really insane viewed in the context of what was taking place at the time. Hear about the ceramic twin-tips that he and the Hood Crew (Griffin Cummings, Josh Frazier, etc.) used to bolt on the backs of their skis way back in like '94. Those guys were so ahead of their time...

If you haven't already, you should check out the Pollard feature in Freeze, December '03. It's sick. And if you can ever get your hands on a movie (I forget the name) made by Shahn Hughes way back in the day, check it out... the Hood crew throwing down with some ridiculous shit way before you ever heard of the New Canadian Air Force.

the fact that you have Volume vm #1 is worth mentioning in itself. they are very rare and hard to come by. not that it was that great, but still hard to come by. Just try getting a copy out of steve R
