yes i know this has been brought up numerous times. but please lets keep the political wars out of ns. this is a skiing site that is made up of like 90% of people that are to young to even vote. dont even bother trying to make a political thread on ns, its just not worth it because you will just get ignorant responses from 14 year olds who dont even know what politics are. if you want politics i am sure there are plenty of other sites to visit that you will find much more intelligent responses

 
yeah but its in everyones best interest to leave out politics as most of the worthless diatribe people put up is unfounded drivel... so yeah, its pretty gay.

its dumb to ban something like politics from a non-ski related forum, because politics is an important part of everyone's life, and the proof of that is everywhere you look, if you know how. for instance. people on here bitch about the drinking age being higher in the states, and the lax marijuana laws in some provinces. that is politics. people tell stories about running from the cops, the enforcers of laws made by politicians, ergo politics. if you dont like to discuss the topic, dont open the thread. banning things just because you dont like them is dumb. i dont really like mountain biking, but i know other people do, and i just skip over those posts. try that next time.

politics doesn't matter on a website like this though. for one most contributors to the site are too young to vote. secondly the rest i would not think would be the type to actually take political action to make changes, and thirdly its damn hard for a single person to make any difference anymore. hence politics don't metter here. and if we say hey don't talk about them, that reduce the number of people spewing out crap like 'you liberals are gonna be mad now'

true,but just because that people are too young to vote doesnt mean that they cant have opinions about politics. i havent ever voted(i was waaay out of town the last few elections), and i am of age, but i still have opinions. and kids will always be like 'ahh stupid flaming liberals' just as they will always say 'ahh stupid flaming fruitbooters' and if that is what they think then let them think it. this site is just a place for people to talk about common topics when it comes down to it, and this forum (the nsg) is taylor made for people from different countries, economic classes, and age groups to see the other viewpoints out there, and like i said before, everyone has an opinion on politics

why does your age matter? cant a 17 year old kid have an opinion that is as relevant as an 18 year olds? and i dont even know if the age of voting is the same in canada as here in the states, but as long as people have cognant opinions they should be able to express them.

people who are old enough to vote should be able to tell who are the stupid 14 year olds talking shit. haha, like they really know whats going on. their comments like 'bush is gay' or 'france is retarded' without backing their reasons for saying such comments are easily recognized as coming from some uneducated fool. they are only opinions, but without backing they leave you thinking 'why did that guy jsut say that'

and freedom of speach? yah, it should be demonstrated here since there actually is a Non-Ski forum on the site. its a place for everybody to come talk about whatever the hell they want, and if that is politics, then let them talk about it and dont bother trying to get in on it if little kids dumb comments bother you that much.
